The French car maker, Renault has unveiled a new digitized car maintenance log book prototype which uses the blockchain to monitor various aspects of its vehicles. I feel this is an amazing way to utilise the blockchain where history of the car's servicing and maintenance gets recorded on a distributed ledger.

Using Microsoft Azure’s blockchain technology, the car maker hopes to reduce its reliance on servers to store the data, instead using the blockchain to give service centres, insurers, repair shops, and drivers easy access to data on each car.

One great benefit of this blockchain technology is that if an owner wants to sell a vehicle, they can make information about the history of the vehicle more transparent, by sharing this with a potential buyer creating more trust between the buyer and the seller.
