We love it when we find a project with great potential. For me the very first thing I look at is the idea and whether it makes sense going blockchain. There are many ICOs going blockchain without clear value of why or how the blockchain is going to help. There is one particular ICO that took place recently and that looks like it has great potential. Let us explore it further -drum rolls- (hold the drums for a sec; I have something just as important to say)…Before we proceed I should make it clear that this is not an investment advise just mere opinion. With that out of the way; let us keep going.

AIDOC — a combination of AI and DOCtor. Yep finally someone thought of contributing to our health and adopt the blockchain in the medical sector. The name itself reflects what it does. You could guess right away the range of possible functions the ICO brings forth. They adopt Artificial Intelligence techniques to provide proper medical advice and even find anomalies if any. I am sure there are other attempts but with this one; things are different. First off they finished the sale and are currently trading on major exchanges (Okex, Huobi are examples). Second thing is the early investment groups they have lined up in their website and the experience mentioned by the team; take a look here.

Let us focus more on what they do. In layman terms you upload your medical data and the system would study that data and accordingly identify any abnormal activities. Now the better the data you provide the better the result would be. You are probably motivated now to give it a shot. See I did not mention any token here despite that, it is likely you were motivated knowing that you will get value (identification of abnormal activities in your medical records) before even knowing the other best part of the ICO. We usually pursue the things that would result in a better life. AIDOC delivers value in the result of your medical records and goes even a step further and even rewards you for the data you provide by giving you tokens.

With all the medical records submitted to/on the AIDOC blockchain; Something critical is enabled. Yep portability of data. Using AIDOC other entities can easily access and use the information (after the user’s authorization) to better their services. Be it medical institutions for their research or even other software services to branch off with more services to the end-users. Keep in mind that this is really difficult; moving medical data around; tons of paper work and approvals are involved. So you see how the blockchain could really speed things up? That is what I meant when I first stated that if the idea goes blockchain; the blockchain should have a purpose otherwise it is just an idea following the hype.

Before we end this; You will realize that data is a crucial part in AIDOC. We have seen how things progressed in various sectors because of data. With data many great things would come to shine and the Medical sector is no exception; Imagine a platform where patients have the incentive to share their data with entities; even without incentives I think patients have enough motive to share their data in hope to get the best possible consultation. Extend that to research labs and Medical institutes and the likes. given it is all centralized now in many cases it is quite costly to have hands on other organization’s data.
