There really is a gulf at the moment. There is blockchain and all the promise that it brings from the perspective of decentralisation and revolutionary new ways of doing things, then there is blockchain from the perspective of people with domain knowledge who don't embrace the first perspective and only see blockchain as the buzzword of the moment. It may be a long time before these two world's meet.
