One day my friend asked me, Can you stay a day without the internet? I bluntly said NO. Then he asked why? I laid down reasons, one of the reasons was, I need the internet so as to access most textbooks etc.
The truth is, one can hardly stay without the internet. Ever since the internet came into existence it has evolved tremendously. A study has shown that from 2000 to 2015 the number of internet users increased from 6.5% to 43% of the global population, with Africa taking the lead of annual growth, with about 27% users.
This has shown that the internet is an evolving system, so far there are humans, so far humans are reproducing, the internet will keep evolving and expanding.
But even with this track records of success, the internet is still faced with challenges which tend to limit its efficiency and effectiveness, while users are faced with even harder challenges.
In order to correct this challenges and make the internet more accessible and beautiful, a team of experts took up the mantle, to build a platform which will correct these shortcomings. This is no other project than WORLD WI-FI.
