ICON (ICX) — a possible contenter of ETH

The ICON project is building one of the largest decentralized networks in the world.

ICON already boasts communities comprised of reputable institutions — banks, securities, insurance, hospitals, universities, and more. ICON’s decentralized applications (DAPPs), including Blockchain ID and Payment & Exchange, can benefit current and future communities.

For instance, Blockchain ID can be issued by financial securities community and be used for ID verification in all other communities. Likewise, ICX issued by hospitals can be used for payment & exchange in all other communities.

ICON COMPARE TO OTHER WIDELY KNOWN BLOCKCHAINS

I’m planning to join the main crowdsale, however, it was sold all at the Pre-sale Stage (75 000 ETH to Private Contributors and 75 000 ETH to Pre-Sale). So I patiently waited for it to be traded in exchanges, and luckily have purchased yesterday.

Honestly, based on the comparisons above, I have invested to all of these including Ethereum, EOS, Bancor and of course recently ICON.

However features wise, ICON could possibly more than the ETH price. Here’s how I compute ICON market cap compare to other blockchains mentioned above. But on conservative note, let’s compute the ICON price if it’s equal to ETH market cap. Based on computation below, ICON estimated price is at $183.29 at market cap of $69,424,301,173.62 (same as ETH alone).

And current closing price of $2.83, ICON should be ranked at #27 with a marketcap of $1,071,890,800.00 based on December 17, 2017 historical snapshot. Just after Stratis (STRAT) with market cap of $1,084,824,487.

Possible? I think so. When? This is something I can’t comment on, but let’s take a look at ETH brief history with a Compounded Monthly Growth Rate of 21.97% for 28 months. From August 7, 2017 to December 17, 2017; which is exactly 10 days, 4 months and 2 years, but I did not consider this 10 days in the computation below.

My projection of ICON to hit $183.29 within the 28 months will result in a compounded monthly growth rate of 16.06%, which is on conservative note lower than ETH monthly compounded growth rate.

At the moment, I will keep monitor progress of ICON. I’m looking forward that it could be at par with ETH / surpass what ETH have achieved.
