Is it possible to find a blockchain company from 1987?
Could it be possible to find a blockchain company from 1987? In theory it is certainly possible but in practise it just seems so unlikely. That's why you will be as surprised as I am to find that there is a company who registered in the UK in 1987. This isn't a company that changed its name during the blockchain revolution that started with Bitcoin but rather a company that filed its original name with the word "blockchain". Weird!
Registered UK companies
I was curious to see what companies were registered in the UK with the word blockchain in their name. This is pretty easy to do as all registered companies in the UK can be searched online via the government's website. The particular office that deals with company registration is "Companies House". There are quite a few companies with the word "blockchain" in the name but none are immediately recognisable to me. However, one particular record caught my eye since the date of filing (creation) is 10 Aug 1987.
The name of this company is: Blockchain Property Managment Limited.

At first I figured the company must have changed it's name but then I checked the incorporation and it looks legit. It looks like the company was incorporated in 1987 with the same name as we see it now.

Weirder still is that despite this company being 30 years old I can't seem to find a website for them. There is a stub page on LinkedIn but almost nothing else.
According to the Wikipedia entry for blockchain the earliest notion of the concept of a blockchain is in 1992.
Interesting coincidence or is there another meaning that I've missed?
