Deploy your blockchain on Ethereum or Hyperledger thanks to Amazon

Amazon Web Service (AWS) is an Amazon affiliate offering cloud computing services to individuals and businesses. The company announced Thursday, April 19 the establishment of a "quick and easy way" for the deployment of blockchains based on Ethereum or Hyperledger networks.

According to the announcement, the idea behind this initiative is to allow developers to focus on creating applications based on a blockchain rather than setting up the blockchain. This project is basically a way to catalyze the creation of applications by offering blockchain solutions "turnkey".

Amazon provides two AWS Blockchain templates, one for Ethereum and the other for Hyperledger. They can be deployed in two ways:

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instances (EC2) that provide the computing capabilities needed for blockchain deployment;
Via the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS): This service allows you to manage multiple Docker containers on a cluster, including EC2.
Network access to Ethereum resources is provided by the Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) virtual network service, which is used to manage access control lists. Granular permissions rely on the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) authentication service.

The opening of this service is a big step in the democratization of blockchains protocols. Amazon as a global leader in e-commerce is one of the big players whose positioning on these new technologies was eagerly awaited. It is not yet the acceptance of Bitcoin as a means of payment, but we never know, it could also be announced soon.
