Interesting. While Comey was testifying, there were two other House hearings going on having to do with blockchains
I don't know what to make of it, if anything, but in this business round-up article by Bloomberg writer Matt Levine, he mentions that there happened to be two other hearings going on having to do with blockchains at the same time James Comey was testifying before Congress:
"But my favorite blockchain news today is that there will be not one but two congressional hearings about consumer fintech and virtual currencies at 10 a.m. today. Do you know what else is happening in Congress at 10 a.m. today? You do, you really do." (italics and inline links in the original)
The names of the hearings:

I know so little about blockchains and cryptocurrencies but thought it was interesting that this Bloomberg writer made not of it. I'm wondering what these hearings were focused on.
Thanks for the heads up.
Virtual currency will have profound effects on State finances and are probably high on the radar of governments already.
