There will be a very intense power struggle as the "middle men" and "gate keepers" of the old financial system try and cope with new tech that will bring decentralization, transparency and accountability, empowering ordinary people and ending hegemony.
That being said there will be some new "gate keepers" and still will be politics involved in the world of cryptocurrency.
