CM Yogi Adityanath's Uttar Pradesh government has decided to introduce block chain technology to avail the great benefits of the cutting edge technology, this is to ensuring data security of land and revenue records in the state as a pilot project and later expended to other areas too. Pilot basis primarily for securing their respective and voluminous revenue records, which are most vulnerable to manipulation and tampering.
Why BlockChain foot prints are an important news, Lets check out some facts about Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh fourth largest state in India
Capital: Lucknow
Area: 2,36,286 square kilometer ( Equivalent or more than many countries in world)
Population: 16,60,52,859 (Equivalent or more than many countries in world)
As the major population depends on agriculture so there are many lands to keep records of. So all the land registration will migrate to blockchain technology for an easy operation which would be transparent, reliable and people will trust it.
Around 67% of the population is there in the rural parts of Uttar Pradesh as a result the land documents becomes a difficult job to maintain, also the manual process is time taking and lengthy which requires a lot of effort that is why blockchain comes into picture where it can solve all the problems related to land documents and it will make all the documents paperless.
As IIT Kanpur is playing imp role in advising officials to move on right direction, Hope to see further updates on this project.
