Meet BandZ: empowering society by facilitating internet accessibility

One of the most important tool ever created in our history is the internet, it allowed for a complete new generation of software and applications that weren’t possible before to be developed, and little by little the internet started to disrupt every single industry there was.

For the first time, it was possible to share information instantly from one continent to another one, and naturally people started to flock into this new platform, and enjoying a type of communication that didn’t existed until then.

As we can see today, the internet end up becoming such a powerful tool, that everything we do right now is registered in some server somewhere in the planet, every financial record, and most of our social interactions are stored digitally, which means the demand and consumption for these types of services has been growing and will keep growing for the coming years and even decades.

The internet continues to expand and add more services and applications with millions of people wanting to use them, due to the fact they can make life easier and better for everyone, which is the goal of every new technology and every new platform. The internet has gotten so necessary for modern life, that 2 years ago it was declared as a basic human right by the United Nations.

It is fair to say that living with no internet today, is the same as living like a complete outcast, outside of society and not being able to participate in what is becoming as the global hub for humanity, always awake and constantly providing new ways for sharing information about literally everything.

However, there are still some issues that could be improved regarding the internet industry, like the difficulty in finding a proper internet connection when traveling abroad, because sometimes we found ourselves in a situation in which we don’t have access to a proper speed, and having access to a fast enough internet is unreasonable expensive, another issue is of course having our personal information revealed when we are highly concerned for our online privacy. Both of these problems can be easily resolved by adopting a BandZ platform.

What is BandZ all about?

BandZ is a new blockchain platform offering an innovative way to have decentralized access not only to the internet, but also to online security services, and ways to exchange data directly between devices.

By using the BandZ platform, people who are visiting a foreign country will no longer have problems when accessing good quality internet at fair prices, because by using the Bandz platform, it will be possible for the local users to exchange their available bandwidth for BandZ tokens with any other individual visiting the country and in need of having access to that bandwidth. This will eliminate the excessive costs of roaming services, because the consumption will be paid at local prices, but not only that, the person exchanging his bandwidth for the tokens will also receive huge benefits because people in general hardly use to the fullest their internet plans, and this will allow them to monetize said plans as much as they can.

Something similar can be said about the local ISP, which will likely see its customer base increase thanks to the possibility of using BandZ for earning those tokens, and this will have as a result more happy costumers consuming more and more internet because they are now acting as the intermediate part between the local internet provider and the foreign person. This is a dynamic in which there is not a single loser, there are only winners.

After receiving the tokens, the local user can then sell those tokens or saving them for later, and exchanging them for bandwidth when he is the one visiting another country. In simple words, this platforms allows for the possibility of exchanging people’s bandwidth for valuable BandZ tokens, and effectively, eliminating roaming fees once and for all.

Regarding the general privacy when it comes to our online activities, it is known that a lot of major websites do not respect the privacy of their users, and have access to all sorts of personal information for their own benefits, which is a reason why VPN services (a virtual private networks that encrypts the personal data of the user) are becoming more popular as of late. However, in order to have access to a VPN the person needs to trust that single entity offering the service with his own personal information, creating a single point of failure for the protection of his private data, besides, sometimes these services considerably reduce the internet speed, reducing the quality of the user experience.

This is something that won’t happen by using the BandZ platform. Since this platform works on a decentralized matter, there won’t be a single point of failure, nor a single entity protecting the private information of the users, and VPN functions will be built directly on the BandZ platform to make sure it works smoothly without have any negative effect.

But the security of this platform goes one step further, because there will also be the possibility for users to take advantage of rotating proxies, which means they can use several IP numbers and automatically rotate them in order to avoid websites to track their online activity by following a single IP number, which is what could happen with a simple VPN.

These security services can be a little bit difficult to implement for people who aren’t very technical due to a lack of experience with digital activities, but with the BandZ platform no one should have any problem since it is designed to be completely user friendly, so everyone can make use of its capabilities with no issue whatsoever.

Rotating proxies and VPNs can be extremely useful especially in countries where the government doesn’t respect the freedom of the people, and tend to block a lot of websites, in this case, a BandZ user could avoid that blockade with ease, while also having his privacy properly protected.

Another potential benefit of having decentralized access to the internet, is the possibility to create mesh networks between the devices using BandZ platform. This type of network is basically about connecting devices with each others, to expand the range of the connection, and allow for devices that typically would be outside of the covered zone because of their distance, to access the internet with no problems. This can be of huge help for zones where there is no enough infrastructure to provide good enough internet, because by leveraging a mesh network thanks to BandZ platform, internet connectivity could be offered to places where it wasn’t possible before, increasing even more the consumption of internet, as well as improving the quality of life in those places.

Having access to the internet has become something so basic in our society, that it is practically a requirement in order for people to be able to have a normal life.

BandZ is looking to increase the access and use of the internet by providing a platform in which users can exchange their bandwidth for BandZ tokens, this will allow for a more fair use of internet for the people visiting other countries, because they won’t be overcharged for their internet consumption.
