MOZO – THE BLOCKCHAIN-BASED LOYALTY PLATFORM FOR BRICK-AND-MORTAR STORES

Ever since the inception of online shopping, much of the attention given to our physical shops and malls has gone down. These days, a lot of people would prefer to buy things from online to going to physical retailing shops to make purchase. Foot traffic is one thing that influence consumers decision to make purchase from a particular shop or not. What this implies is that, as people stop going to these physical shops in preference to the online shops, it tends to discourage others from also going to the shops. The cycle continues until the customer size of that particular shop reduces significantly.

One major strategy malls and other retailing shops adopt to win the interest of consumers is the introduction of loyalty programs. This system works by awarding points to customers who stay loyal to the shop by making frequent purchase from there and also referring friends to also make purchase from there. Although the loyalty program has brought some improvement in the foot traffic, it is still not enough as a lot of customers do not even know the use the points they are accumulating. I am happy to introduce to you this wonderful token known as Mozo, which is going to help these physical retailing stores to be able to compete with the online stores and bring foot traffic back the stores.

Through the blockchain technology, Mozo is going to build a digital platform whose applications will replace existing point-based loyalty systems. Another way to earn Mozo tokens is to use the installed customer App to buy products at the digitized store or at the Mozo redemption marketplace. Note that, redemption can be in the form of cashback on product purchase or discount.
