Blockchain to become legal in Florida

Florida based lawmaker had introduced a bill to make blockchain legal. If the bill passes, blockchain will become legal in the state of Florida.
1357 House Bill introduces smart contracts and blockchain to be treated as legal method to store data, suggesting that these measures don’t break ay pre-existing laws and regulations.
The bill states: " a record or contract that is secured through blockchain technology is in an electronic form and is an electronic record," and suggests that blockchain based signature is also a valid electronig signature.
Thus, the bill confirms that if a person uses blockchain to secure foreign and interstate commercial ventures, it will not impact ownership rights, meaning if someone stored their information on blockchain, the bill will legally recognize the right of that person to the information.

Similarly, the bill states: “A contract may not be denied legal effect or enforceability solely because: 1. An electronic record was used in the formation of the contract [and] 2. The contract contains a smart contract term”.
Before Florida, Arizona passes similar bill last year to recognize blockchain records as electronic records and give a legal force to smart contracts, and Vermont passed a different bill, allowing to recognize blockchain-based data as an evidence in court.
