Our BETA TEST in now LIVE!

After a few months of hard work, research, development and countless tests, we are very happy to announce that the Creary beta test is now available!
Creary is the blockchain-based social network of creative portfolios that rewards artists and curators.
It has been a long road of doubts and efforts to create a complex ecosystem technologically innovative and decentralized that adapts to our objective of offering creative communities a fair and free alternative where they can distribute their works.
We would kindly like to ask you to participate in this beta test phase of the first version of Creary.net and/or share it with your community.
The objective of this test is to find bugs and other errors in order to collectively improve the platform before releasing the main net version.
Keep in mind that some of the functions that are projected in the development of the platform have not yet been implemented in this first version. During the time that this phase lasts we will be doing updates that solve bugs reported by the group of beta testers.

Hi Crea. You seem to be putting a lot of effort into a clean usable interface. I really appreciate this. It seems to be built with artists in mind, this is all great. Love the built in licencing, automatically encouraging users to use creative commons is awesome.
I did the beta test feedback. I got to the end and tried to receive the bonus but loading up your crea 1.0 the app didn't work to make a wallet... Even kinda freaked me out like maybe i just downloaded a virus?
I see you are a graphine based project. How are your witnesses or servers managed? Do you have any block explorers? You are a "blockchain" but what is the structure of your organization, and what is the distribution like?
I'm interested in this as an art community, but I ask these questions because I am looking at different decentralized projects.
Why make your own blockchain rather than build on an existing one? How do you intend on avoiding the same issues that steem has had with the SBD losing it's peg? Or user activity being tied to the volatility of the market?
Do you have a github?

Strange that you haven't received any answer after week. Not a good way to communicate with early adopters. I tried to sign up but got frozen in the email entering phase using Brave browser. Tried to sign up using Chrome browser but it says email address already exist. I understand it's in beta and should be bugs in the system. But no communication means no trust.

Hi, We are sorry to hear you didn't get the registration confirmation email back.
We have been testing this feature and it seems to work fine.
The only thing that comes to our mind is that we were probably doing some improvements on the login right at that moment and your registration process was interrupted.
We encourage you to try it again with another email address

You are right. Our devs are doing tests with the nodes and the login process is being affected. We will unlock your username when solved so you can make the registration again. Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for sharing this issue

First of all, thank you for testing the platform and sending us your feedback!
To download the wallet please visit https://creaproject.io/downloads-en/ and check the section "Download QT wallet" (black banner), so you don't need to download the whole platform 1.0 if you only need the wallet.
This is our block explorer 1.0: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/crea and we are already building the block explorer 2.0, we will publish it soon.
The CREA team is part of a non-profit foundation (Creativechain Foundation) and the project is completely open source.
Token distribution will be 70% to content creators and curators, 15% to the CREA holders and 15% to the witnesses.
There will be 25 witnesses voted by the community (users can vote up to 35 witnesses). We will encourage witnesses to make suggestions for improvements in the network so that users vote for witnesses who have better proposals. This encourages the collective creation of the project.

We have made our blockchain for many reasons. First and most important is to create a network that allows to make the implementations that the creative sector needs such as the license registration system or the marketplace of p2p downloaded contents within the platform using the IPFS network.
Many other features in CREA are different from STEEM. For example, in Creary the rewards are paid in 8 weeks instead of 13.
