XYO Network - First Crypto-location Oracle network Has Arrived

Loran is short for Long Range Navigation (Navigation Remote). Loran-C is a hyperbola navigation system or electronics navigation system with ground-based radio transmitters. This technology which later became the concept of Global Positioning System (GPS). The United States is the originator and initiator of GPS. Basically, the shape of a GPS technology system is similar to a central base radio navigation system, such as LORAN and Decca Navigator developed in the 1940s and used during World War II. The inspiration of making the GPS system actually came from the Soviet Union which at that time, in 1957, launched their first satellite, Sputnik. A team of US scientists led by Dr. Richard B. Kershner then monitored Sputnik radio transmissions. They found that the Doppler Effect had an effect on radio transmissions, where the Sputnik transmitted frequency signal was very high when it was launched and lowered as the satellite moved away from the earth. They realized that by knowing their precise location of longitude on the world map, they were able to track the satellite positions orbiting based on the Doppler Effect deviation benchmark. Transit, the first satellite navigation system used by the US Navy successfully tested the first time in 1960. Systems that use a collection of five satellites is able to determine the position once every hour. In 1967, the US Navy developed a Timation satellite that proved its ability by setting accurate time in space, a reference technology of GPS systems. In the 1970s, the central Omega Navigation System base, based on phase signal comparison, became the first radio navigation system covering the entire world.


GPS or Global Positioning System is a technology system that will help the position of our existence. When likened to, GPS is the development of a map of the location that is manifested in the form of technology that uses satellites. GPS works by transmitting signals from satellites to GPS devices (pure GPS portable, or smartphones that already have GPS features). GPS requires transmission from 3 satellites to obtain two-dimensional information (latitude and longitude), and 4 satellites for three dimensions (latitude, longitude and altitude). With GPS we can know the location, the length of the trip to be traveled, how much fuel the vehicle will need to travel, and various other benefits.


Unfortunately, GPS has several disadvantages:


  1. The use of GPS to locate positions that rely on at least three satellites is not always accurate.
  2. Sometimes, it takes one satellite to correct the received signal. The inaccuracies of the position shown
  3. The GPS is affected by the position of the changed satellite and the delayed signal process. The speed of this GPS signal is also often changed because it is influenced by the existing atmospheric conditions. In addition, GPS signals also easily berinteferensi with other electromagnetic waves.


With the weakness of the GPS actually still need further development to find a more accurate position. Because GPS technology has been in use in some real devices even until there is applied to the car.

With today's technological developments such as secure and decentralized blockchain-based smart contracting systems it is possible to apply to a more accurate navigation or proof location system than GPS. Because blockchain has an irreversible data structure it can only be added. Each data from this blockchain is connected where if there is a change in one of the data block it will affect the next data.
