We discussed this in the Steem.ph group chat about a month ago and @nathansenn thinks that quantum computing powerful enough to hack Bitcoin is even farther away than 7 - 20 years.

I have no way of determining if he is right or not but hopefully Steem can impliment higher security during this next bull run if they have more funds 👍
