Xaya: Decentralised blockchain based gaming universe.

in #blockchain6 years ago

The game world has evolved, from the time of jumping hoops as children, playing board games like snakes and ladders, monopoly, chess among others to digital gaming. Now the world is all about technology. Gamers play online on devices that year ago would have seemed impossible.
Even with the new way of gaming, gamers and developer face countless problems, time and cost being at the top of the list. What if we had a platform that could help developer eliminate their countless problems while letting them retain ownership. What if gamers could be able to convert their virtual items and earning into real money? Exciting right? But how possible is this?

I introduce you to Xaya

What is Xaya all about?

The Xaya vision is decentralised autonomous universes. It gives enormous values both to developers and gamers alike. It is a gaming and cryptocurrency platform built on the blockchain. New developers who have challenges taking their games to the market due to time and financial constraints would get empowered by Xaya. This way, the Xaya team aims to democratise the world of game development.

Players on the other hand, would be able to gain real world value as well as capitalise on previous achievements from previous games in new games. This would be achieved through the trade of virtual items from one game to another. The adoption of Xaya tools and applications by gamers and developers would help this goals to be achieved.

Problem Definition

Developers

Taking a game from concept stage to market stage for many new independent developers is usually time and cost ineffective. Due to these constarints, most of these developers are unable to take their products to the gaming market because ofbthese drawbacks.

With Xaya, which uses right developer tools and the blockchain to create decentralised autonomous game universes, having 24/7 uptime, cost and time setbacks which has to do with servers and cloud based services are eliminated. Xaya would democratise the game development world which would usher in a whole new era of game development. New game genres would also be generated. Scalability problems would also be solved.

Solution

*Fully-, partially-, or non-decentralised game development
*Supporting scalable massively multiplayer game development
*Virtual currencies and asset creation
*Ability to build gamer loyalty
*Broad game engine compatibility (e.g. Unity, Unreal, etc.)
*Exportable game engine templates (e.g. support for Unity assets and Unreal blueprints)
*Pre-built libraries Accepting and managing gamer payments simply, securely, and affordably.

Gamers

There has been a growing desire for rich virtual gaming universes where virtual asset ownership is necessary for gamer status and progres through one particular gae. The desire to be rewarded for time and effort, not just through enjoyment alone but also through the exchange of virtual items in another game and also for real wordly value.

This represents a challenge on two fronts. The first challenge is that a truly scalable and real or near real-time asset storage ledger is required for the gamer independent of the games they play. The second challenging requirement is to create a means of managing ownership and sharing in increasingly complex game universes, like those in typical MMO games. Over time and given the likely high value of many virtual assets and the gameplay itself, it will be critically important to ensure ‘provably fair’ gameplay and ‘provably fair’ item acquisition, which is not addressed in other emerging asset trading platforms.

Solutions available on Xaya

*Provably fair gameplay
*Reliability and stability (i.e. 24/7 uptime)
*Secure virtual asset ownership
*Rapid and easy trade and/or sharing of virtual assets and conversion to real world value (e.g. play to earn or Human Mining)
*Secure social networking Easy to use game app launcher,
*Human readable wallet accounts and “addresses”

Huntercoin and Xaya

Xaya team in 2013, developed and successfully carried out the Huntercoin experiment. It was supposed to last a year but it has remained functional since. Ot acheived a number of world first which include the world's first decentralised massive multiplayer game, the first game built completely on the blockchain, the first human mining permissible cryptocurrency. Huntercoin was to a large extent autonomous , requiring no servers or infrastructure.

Xaya is built on the same technology as the Huntercoin experiment, it will provide a wealth of tools and infrastructure for developers to build game worlds fitting their visions and project. They can build decentralised games and issue their unique game currency which can be traded for 'CHI' or other game coins.

Xaya token

The universal coin in the Xaya ecosystem is CHI. All transactions are done in 'CHI'. It would be used for account creation, transactions, buying and renting of game assets among others.

Summary

Xaya aims to change the world of blockchain gaming. It would help developer build games in decentralised autonomous universes within a blockchain based gaming ecosystem bypassing time and cost constraints which formerly was a problem. Gamers would not only derive simple enjoyment for playing these games, they would be able to convert their virtual assets and items into real world value as well as use them in other games.
