A2B TAXI: THE WORLD’S FIRST BLOCKCHAIN BASED GLOBAL TAXI PLATFORM
A study conducted last year by the International Road Transport Union reveals that about 80% of people are totally satisfied with the taxi trips they had. The study also shows that, even with the fact that the taxi industry comprises one tenth-one fifth of total traffic in Europe, taxis are only involved in 1% of road accidents in the biggest cities in Europe. Also, the study revealed that taxis are fairly flexible when compared to mainstream public transport (buses, metro, trains, etc.) They, taxis, are available 24/7. This makes taxi and ride-sharing a very attractive way of commuting. However, the ride-sharing market has an Achilles heel, in as much as it has been good. Ridesharing, in customers view, is transparent and trustworthy enough. Customers want more sufficient driver information as well as improved trust-ability on drivers. Also, they aren’t sure of the driver’s license state or if they are monitored. An example of this is Uber. The Uber service doesn’t allow customers to have complete information on their drivers nor cars. Many existing ride-sharing platforms hire unprofessional drivers to drive unlicensed cars, which is unprofessional for a high-quality taxi service. Private driver services tend to be cheaper, but the question is, is it a better option? There isn’t any check on their background, and can sometimes lead to client-driver incidents caused by the driver, which companies do not always report. Also, payment rate by some already established ride-sharing companies, e.g Uber, is very low when compared with the rates of payment of some unqualified jobs or even traditional taxi companies, because they pay huge rates on tax so as to lower prices for customers, resulting in customer dissatisfaction.
It is thought that an officially trusted taxi company that transparently uses licensed vehicles and verified drivers would be substantially advantaged against ride-sharing services. Using an app which can be used in different countries is necessary and will be very profitable. Note that ride-sharing services are still unavailable in many European countries.
A2B will tackle these challenges via blockchain’s distributed ledger technology, where all trip information will be stored. Trip information like pricing and trip payment history, as well as information about the journey, will be uploaded in the distributed ledger, making drivers unable to circumvent clients on pricing. This will enable routes and distances to be fairly calculated and easily checked and clarified, and all access rights to the data will be managed on a public blockchain. Every clients review will be uploaded on the blockchain, thereby ruling out information manipulation and cover-up from new clients. Also, road violations will be taken automatically from respective institutions and placed online, and clients will be able to verify a driver’s license, and road rules violation history. Complete taxi information on mileage, accident history, service history, and anything related to client’s safety will also be available on the A2B service, which will inform clients choice. State institutions will also be able to get all information about pricing and accounting records on blockchain, and local authorities will be able to check how much money each driver earned, with a possibility of simplifying the procedure of tax accounting and payment. To use A2B taxi platform benefits, drivers will have to open their data. A2B will use Civic for single sign-on, and Enigma for scalable privacy. Note that all information will be put on Ethereum and Qtum blockchains, and will be available to users. Data will also be kept in IPFS, and customers will be able to use the technology due to the integrated wallets on the platform. Isn’t the proposition of A2B Taxi amazing? TOKEN ECONOMICS MODEL
A2B TAXI PLATFORM
The A2B platform is specially designed to directly connect customers with professional and accredited drivers, and only licensed drivers will be allowed to work in the A2B Taxi platform. Through the A2B app on a smartphone, customers will be able to order A2B services, and all request will be sent to the driver that can pick up the customer. Driver payment will be electronically completed, and the system will be available in 46 European countries.
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
A2B taxi drivers will have to pass the following requirements after being verified;
• Vehicles should not be older than 5 years (or less depending on the city rules)
• Vehicles should be with 5 or more seats
• Driver’s license should be accepted by the city council or any other local authority
• Driver should have flawless reputation
• No violation of road traffic regulations for the past 1 year
• Driver should have knowledge of at least one foreign language
• Driving experience (exact number of years depends on the regulations in the particular city)
Note that, clothing and behavior requirements as well as general service culture will be imposed during working hours, and customer standard will be set for drivers to follow. 1000 A2B Taxi tokens will be given to the first 15 thousand drivers who will join the platform and work with its assistance for more than a week.
A2B TAXI APP USE
A2B Taxi will work in partnership with existing Taxi companies, in some cities. In other cases, A2B will cooperate directly with independent taxi drivers. The first company to use the A2B Taxi platform will be A2B Taxi in Vilnius, Lithuania, and after a successful token sale campaign and development of the software, A2B Taxi will expand into other European cities. Targeted cities will have 1 or 2 A2B Taxi employees/ambassadors that will work in their own market in order to attract independent taxi drivers. A2B Taxi will do B2B sales with existing taxi companies in the cities, thereby offering companies a space on the platform in order to increase the number of bookings. There will be daily payment to drivers or taxi companies in A2B Taxi tokens through the A2B Taxi app, and drivers or taxi companies will be able to cash out A2B Taxi tokens in Fiat currency or keep them in tokens.
PAYMENTS THROUGH A2B TAXI
A2B Taxi app payment will be done via cryptocurrency that the company will release while in the primary stage of the A2B project. As encouragement, there will also be a 30% discount reward for payments made with the A2B cryptocurrency. The amount paid can also be returned back in cryptocurrency, also as reward. Clients will have the ability to buy A2B tokens by a token, but this will cost more, relatively, so it is better to pay in tokens. It is also possible to pay with bank cards but this will be for a limited time due to customers convenience. Note that, eventually using bank cards for payments will be dissolved as the A2B platform gains popularity. Only cryptocurrency payments will be accepted.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
There will be 24/7 e-mail and call center customer service through which A2B Taxi will receive all complaints from the users, analyze them and pass them on to the drivers. A2B taxi will work with only verified taxi companies and drivers.
FINANCIAL PREDICTIONS
Income will be generated on the A2B platform via commission fee from every order. The commission fee will be applied in percent for drivers and will range from 5-10%. This fee will vary in every city, depending on the market. Initially, the income will be used to encourage customers to use the cryptocurrency, and thereafter used for profit generation.
ACCOUNTABILITY TO BUYERS
Because the A2B platform values accountability and transparency, it will share monthly reports to buyers at the beginning, until the summer of 2018. The monthly reports will allow everyone to know the status of the development, testing and implementation of the A2B platform in the market -Vilnius. Thereafter, quarterly reports will be produced.
The reports will include the following information;
• Financial aspects of the company (Expenses, Turnover, Profitability)
• Outgoing and finished work related to the development of the software
• Application statistics (number of downloads, retention, etc.)
• Number of clients and other related statistics
• Number of free km provided for marketing purposes
A2B TAXI TOKENS (TAXI)
The A2B Taxi token is an ERC20 Ethereum based token. The token price is 1 ETH to 10,000 TAXI and the USD, EUR, BTC, and ETH can be used for payment. 500 million tokens worth $0.1 each will be released, and during the first sale (Private sale), with a 25% discount, 10% of the tokens will be sold at the price of $0.075 each. The first public sale will take place at a later date, where a tenth of the tokens will be sold at a 10% discount rate and a price of $0.085 each. There will be 2 more added public sales where another tenth of tokens will be sold at a 10% and 5% discount respectively, and at a price of $0.09 and $0.095 each.
