Sidera ; A Wearable Wallet - Review 02
Hello everybody!
I’m Channa Jayawickrama and welcome back to my channel. I have discussed key facts regarding Sidera from my previous article. So today, I will further elaborate its purposes of SmartBit project and security measures of Smartbit project.
Purposes of SmartBit Project
Nowadays Bitcoins are becoming a new revolutionary way to make transactions between people, offering an innovative decentralized system which guarantees the security and privacy of those transactions.
Although the technology behind Bitcoin is really outstanding it is still difficult to handle them in an easy and smart way. Compared to fiat money Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies are still not that smart, limiting their propagation only to technology experts, passionate people and some investors. Bitcoin environment is far from being something used by everyone.
The purpose of this project is to let cryptocurrencies become more attractive and fully scalable, with an easy and pleasant way to handle transactions, strengthening at the same time its security.
Security Measures of SmartBit project
In order to provide the highest security your private key is stored in the device’s sandbox. This is an ultra-secure partition, fully encrypted in military-grade AES-2048, non-reachable by anyone.
A unique identifier authorizes the app to recognize the smartwatch on the phone. You can only pair your smartwatch with devices authorized by you. In this way nobody will be able to manage the operations if the smartwatch and the phone are unpaired.
With this solution the SmartBit Smartwatch is a separate device and the companion app doesn’t store any private key.
The SmartBit smartwatch/wristband works as authentication token in order to prevent theft and abuse. They plan to widen this particular feature allowing two-factor authentication to other popular services such as Gmail, Dropbox, etc.
A secure PIN is required in order to confirm the transactions. To prevent not being able to access your funds in the app if the smartwatch is lost, you are always able to recover the wallet operations using your unique mnemonic phrase.
How to send cryptocurrencies on your SmartBit Device?
SmartBit smartwatch lets users send Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency in different ways. Especially, with a completely revolutionary way invented by Sidera.
The smartwatch’s “Receive notifications” feature has a double function:
To display smartphone notifications like every other smartwatch in the world.
To detect any crypto-address included in the notification message. As soon as a new address is detected the user can choose to send the related cryptocurrency to that address.
Therefore, using above factors we can say that the project Sidera gives very promising hopes for the people who are engaged in this cryptocurrency field. So, making investment is worthy to earn a huge profits.
So join as-soon-as-possible.
