Cloudbric's blockchain-based cybersecurity data platform
As the online economy continues to develop and expand its reach, the matter of cybersecurity becomes both more important and more complicated. The challenge posed by malware, hacks and other threats is a vast and constantly evolving one, requiring a similarly broad-based and dynamic response. However, the existing cybersecurity infrastructure struggles to provide such a response. It is hampered by market fragmentation, as well as opacity and flawed business ethics of many security providers.
Cloudbric, a successful cloud-based web security provider, proposes a new approach that would utilise blockchain technology to establish a unified, decentralised and transparent cybersecurity platform. This platform will be used to gather and process security data with the help of deep learning algorithms, using the results to power a set of sophisticated cybersecurity tools. Users would be able to both earn tokens for contributing data and spend them to use the tools, establishing a fully-fledged cybersecurity ecosystem.
How will the Cloudbric platform work?
By downloading Cloudbric's desktop or mobile Secure Web Gateway app, users would gain access to a VPN that will connect them to Cloudbric's global network of service nodes. Through it, they will receive the ability to use a host of security features, including protection from spam, warnings about malware and fraud and preventing cryptocurrency transactions with suspicious addresses and sites. Cloudbric's protection will be extended to mobile and IoT devices, websites and browsers. This protection service will rely on a decentralised threat database stored using IPFS and updated by Cloudbric's security system and user contributions. VISION, a convolutional neural network deep learning module, will be used to analyze this data and anticipate future threats. Its insights will be used to guide further development.
User contributions will be facilitated with the help of an opt-in CLB token reward program, under which users will receive tokens for sharing attack logs or contributing resources (such as information about suspicious websites or vulnerabilities) directly to the Cloudbric Labs community. This community already includes a test hack tool, an IP blacklist and a threat index, and is intended to expand further, with the creation of additional user-driven databases. CLB could be used to pay for advanced Cloudbric services, as well as to trade with its partners, which would be encouraged to make exclusive offers for CLB holders. Partner companies could purchase monthly service plans with CLB (receiving a 50% discount) or with fiat. Cloudbric API will be available to third-party developers and businesses for their own security data needs.
What puts Cloudbric ahead of its competitors?
Unlike most existing cybersecurity providers, Cloudbric offers a comprehensive solution covering a wide base of possible users and use cases. Its cryptocurrency-related security and anti-fraud features should make it especially appealing to members of the cryptocurrency community. Meanwhile, its token economy offers a way to tie together its own services, ordinary Internet users, website owners and software companies. The data gathered from this wide base of users would fuel the non-stop development of both its self-learning algorithms and its cybersecurity software. Another advantage of this project is the transparency of its data and data gathering mechanisms.
Cloudbric is a cloud-based cybersecurity provider that was launched 2015. It is an affiliate of Penta Security Systems Inc., a widely acclaimed South Korean IT firm that has been in business since 1997 (and which is also working on AMO Blockchain, a blockchain-based car data market project). As such, this current project benefits from the support of a well-established organisation and its reputation, as well as a preexisting network including over 50 partner companies, thousands of users and more than 25 data centres updating and maintaining its threat database. There are plans for expanding every aspect of this system further. Cloudbric is being worked on by a cohesive and experienced team. The patent for its VISION AI technology is currently under consideration.

A top of the line cybersecurity effort
Among the various companies offering IT services on the blockchain, Cloudbric is distinguished by how much of its value proposition has already been developed. While a data gathering and machine learning project would normally need some time to get off the ground, Cloudbric has a running start due to its preexisting network, previously developed technology and existing collection of data.
While Cloudbric is already a thriving business, its cryptoindustry venture may enjoy different degrees of success. Cybersecurity is a very serious and widespread concern, but it does face many rivals, some of which are better known worldwide. Still, if Cloudbric could leverage its technology and transparent data model to expand its client base, it should be able to tap into a virtuous cycle, increasing the strength of its protection with time and data and thereby attracting more participants to its ecosystem. In this way, it may eventually edge out more famous rivals in this field.
