Blockmason joins The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, the largest open-source blockchain initiative

We are excited to have joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and hundreds of our peers across the globe, from blockchain technology startups to established Fortune 500 companies

As a member of the EEA, we will collaborate with industry leaders in pursuit of Ethereum-based enterprise technology best practices, open standards, and open-source reference architectures. The Blockmason team is excited to contribute to the development of the EEA's standards and in working with their peers in the blockchain technology space to help move the industry forward.

The EEA is an industry-supported, not-for-profit established to build, promote, and broadly support Ethereum-based technology best practices, open standards, and open-source reference architectures. The EEA is helping to evolve Ethereum into an enterprise-grade technology, providing research and development in a range of areas, including privacy, confidentiality, scalability, and security. The EEA is also investigating hybrid architectures that span both permissioned and public Ethereum networks as well as industry-specific application layer working groups.

YouTuber Gadgetland shows off Lndr

Lndr was recently featured in a video from Gadgetland. You can see Lndr onscreen and get a feel for how the app works.
Gadgetland is an Italy-based YouTube channel that creates videos about new technology and electronic gadgets.

Check out Lndr in this video from Gadgetland. Lndr is our peer-to-peer bill-splitting and expense-sharing mobile app for iOS and Android. It uses the Credit Protocol and the Ethereum blockchain to create, manage and settle casual debts and IOUs between friends. Essentially, the "Venmo of the blockchain."

Erik MacKinnon promoted to Chief Marketing Officer

Blockmason is excited to announce that this week, the promotion of Erik MacKinnon to Chief Marketing Officer. As you may know, Erik previously held the title of Director of Growth and has been helping to lead our marketing team at Blockmason since joining us earlier this year.

"Given his past management experience, which includes having started and grown a successful agency, I am confident that he is well-suited and ready to lead our marketing team. His data-centric and growth-focused approach to digital marketing will be helpful in us achieving our vision as a company." - CEO Michael Chin

In his new role as CMO, MacKinnon's diverse responsibilities include leading the marketing and community teams, strategy development and execution, brand management, digital advertising and more. MacKinnon and his team will also lead Blockmason's communications, PR and media efforts, a critical role for a startup company in the nascent blockchain technology space.

The Credit Protocol hackathon has ended

Our Credit Protocol Virtual Hackathon has now ended. We would like to thank all who participated.

The theme of the hackathon was to build a dApp that uses the Credit Protocol to solve a problem in any area of consumer finance. We had many unique and interesting entries, and our panel of judges have started reviewing each.
We will be announcing the winner soon. Stay tuned.
