Decentralized applications are growing in number at a tremendous rate, many people new to the blockchain and cryptocurrency world might find it difficult to get started with decentralized applications.
So I will be explaining everything on how to get started and use decentralized applications in short.

What Are Decentralized Applications?
Decentralized applications are built on the blockchain network.
The reason the apps that are built on the blockchain network are called decentralized applications is due to it not being centralized, which basically means the assets in particular decentralized applications are completely owned by an individual and cannot be controlled by the developer or the company.
Decentralized applications are also known as dapps.
There are many blockchain networks that support decentralized application development.
For example, Ethereum, EOS, TRON, IOST, LOOM, ONT, NEO, etc.

Types Of Decentralized Applications
Decentralized consists of various applications and services that include:
Games: Many games are getting built on the blockchain network with the help of smart contracts, The main reason is the assets in the game are ERC20 tokens which are completely owned by the player and the game host or company cannot have access to the assets.
Gambling Websites: Many gambling websites use the blockchain network due to it being completely trustless and the odds of winning and losing would be very hard to Rigg.
Decentralized Exchanges: Decentralized Exchange, also termed as DEX are built on the blockchain network, meaning that any user can trade their cryptocurrencies on decentralized exchanges without worrying about the exchange getting hacked or funds being locked.
Decentralized exchanges allow users to control their funds

How To Start Using Decentralized Applications
The steps involved in getting starting with using decentralized applications are as follows :
Creating a wallet: The first step is to create a wallet of the platform where your desired Dapp is available on
For example, if you are interested in an ethereum dapp, you would have to create an ethereum wallet.
Recommended wallet extensions for ethereum dapps are
Metamask and Dapper , these extensions should be installed in your browser
Searching Dapps: There are various websites available that could help you find your desired dapp.
Dappradar, Stateofdapps, and Dapp.com are some of the websites that I recommend.
Linking your wallet: Once you have found your desired dapp, you need to link your wallet with the dapp so it can recognize you every time to visit it in the future and also you will be able to do transactions.
Load your wallet with funds: Some dapps might require to confirm a transaction or purchase digital assets, so you will require to have some funds available in your wallet.

and that is it, you are all set to start your dapp adventure!
