Cheveron, Reliance Industries and Total are the latest companies to join blockchain Vakt. Vakt is a London based blockchain company, formed in 2017. It is a consortium that includes energy tycoons, Royal Dutch Shell, BP, Equinor, Mercuria and many more.

VAKT’s vision is to digitise the commodities trading industry, by creating a secure, trusted ecosystem. In use since November 2018, it is a pilot platform for the commodities business, that has the potential to solve trade inefficiencies and increase transparency. This includes tracking cargo, improving trade settlement and reducing the risk of fraud.
