[Press Release] BitDegree and SingularityNET ally to develop Artificial Intelligence courses

Decentralized educational platform, BitDegree, has announced that it is collaborating with decentralized AI network, SingularityNET, to develop a course about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and AI-blockchain integration courses. The target audience for the jointly-created upcoming AI courses are machine learning developers. In the future, it will be further targeted at students who want to learn how to create AI and machine learning applications. It will run on the BitDegree platform.

BitDegree is a pioneering massive open online course provider, which will revolutionize education by offering blockchain-powered IT and tech courses. It was created by the founders of Hostinger and 000webhost, two of world’s largest free web hosting platforms.

SingularityNET is creating a decentralized market for AI services. By creating a permissionless market for AI as a service, SingularityNET will challenge tech giants, and enable startups and open source developers to monetize their algorithms at scale. By aggregating AI services from around the world, coordination between nodes will facilitate emergent intelligence as nodes merge into federations to solve practical problems. These federations may eventually accumulate into a benevolent, market-based artificial general intelligence (AGI).

As part of the agreement, SingularityNET has also agreed to invest up to $40,000 BDG worth of AGI tokens in the BitDegree scholarship pool. This will allow BitDegree and SingularityNET to collaboratively raise awareness for AI-blockchain applications, and globally promote blockchain-based education. The first course will be an AI wrapping course teaching developers how to take open source machine learning algorithms, wrap them into a SingularityNET AI Agent, and launch them for profit on the network. After the course proves a success, SingularityNET and BitDegree may once again collaborate to add further AI courses to the market.

Regarding the BitDegree-SingularityNET partnership, BitDegree CEO, Andrius Putna, commented: “SingularityNET is blazing trails in both AI and blockchain technologies. In October 2017, BitDegree joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and the Bitcoin Foundation as part of its campaign to adopt best practices from internationally-operating companies who promote the use of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

BitDegree’s token sale will start on December 1st 2017.
