A Single Seed To Protect Your Credentials In Multiple Platforms

in #blockchain6 years ago

Do you know which era of the web are we using? We are slowly making a transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0. Sounds unfamiliar? Let me explain in detail. Even though the classification of the web is not done by any standard organization, these terms are widely used.

Web 1.0: This is the original state of the web when it was introduced in the early 90’s. During that time, people used web only for gaining knowledge and information. You can also call this web as “static web” because there was no interaction with the websites.

Web 2.0: It is also called “social web” because it had greatly revolutionized the concept of the web. Like, converting an empty land to a multi-story shopping complex. Web 2.0 has increased the usage of internet drastically to such an extent that we cannot live without that even for an hour or so. Social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. evolved during this period.

Web 3.0: Some people believe that we have already started moving toward the Web 3.0. I guess the Internet of Things (IoT) technology is clearly a sign of that as we have started connecting the appliances in our home like a refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner (AC), etc. to the internet. A clear definition for web 3.0 is not available yet.

Are you wondering why I’m discussing the different webs? Let me come to the point. Even though Web 2.0 has many advantages over Web 1.0, it has created a dangerous pit for the users. Do you know what is that? Web 2.0 has made the users to share their valuable personal information across the entire web. In most of the cases, the sensitive data of the users are utilized by small and big companies to grow their business and make a lot of money. But the sad part is that the users are not even aware of the fact that their data is misused or stolen.

Thanks to the Cambridge Analytics Scandal & the security breach of the MyFitnessPal app, now the users must have realized the importance of protecting their personal data. These days, people are using the web for a lot of purposes like banking, credit cards, online shopping, stock investments, etc. So, they need to maintain quite a lot of credentials for accessing that kind of services. To make the job easier, the majority of the users are using the same login credentials to access different types of accounts. Do you think it is a good option? No. Because, if someone is able to hack one of your passwords, then they can easily hack your other accounts also. How to keep secure with all your login credentials?

Essentia offers a decentralized blockchain based solution to provide full privacy and security for your data. Using a single seed, you can secure any kind of data like IDs, passwords, Dapps, digital assets, etc.
Essentia allows the users to access any third party service in a secure way without using your original password. Simply, you can use one seed to access multiple services. To know more information about Essentia, please visit Telegram, ANN and Bounty Thread.

ESS tokens will be used as the fuel to drive the Essentia platform. For example, someone can use the tokens to pay for the third party service connected to Essentia. ESS token is a utility token based on Ethereum ERC20. Check out our Website to learn more information about ESS tokens.
