Blockchain transaction speed will soon be measured in MPH
Sponsorship is indispensable in Formula 1. The first cryptocurrency projects have already signed up for a sponsorship deal and it has just been announced that the Formula 1 organization has also made a deal with Animoca Brands, a Blockchain start-up from Hong Kong. Chances are that Max Verstappen, sponsored by Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency, will soon also be driving around the Blockchain.
What will Formula 1 do on the Blockchain?
Both parties will jointly develop a new Formula 1 game on the Blockchain. The (provisional) title is F1: Delta Time. According to the first details you can play this racing game through the Blockchain and then make all kinds of purchases in the game. For this they will use a new, not outside the game tradable cryptocurrency (a so called NFT). As with other popular games such as Apex Legends or Fortnite, you can use the coin to buy things in the game. Think of skills, updates and other items. In addition, thanks to the Blockchain, players can exchange or sell the purchased extras to each other.
Will Max Verstappen really be racing on the Blockchain?
That certainly looks like it. The racing game is developed under license of the organization of Formula 1. So they have the right to digitize the races and drivers for a game. Incidentally, this is not the first time that Max Verstappen comes into contact with Blockchain and crypto coins.
Earlier this year Red Bull Racing Team concluded a multi-year agreement with the Polish FuturoCoin. Thanks to this multi-year sponsorship agreement, the name and logo will appear on the cars as well as on the race overalls of the team.

When can you play F1: Delta Time?
According to the announcement, the game will be ready in about five weeks. As of June 1st we can see how Max Verstappen is racing over the Blockchain and whether the possibility of Blockchain offers added value. A high added value can quickly increase the interest in Bitcoin. Increasing interest means rising prices. So you have every reason to follow the news and the live quotes.
Soon after this success, we will no longer be measuring the blockchain transaction speed in TPS (transactions per second); we will measure its speed in MPS (miles per hour)!
