ARK Team is Expanding: Looking for Community Managers

Are you a long time community member looking for an opportunity to get more involved in ARK? Are you a non-developer who really wants to be a part of the ARK team? We are looking to hire a new Community Engagement Manager to help build out the ARK Communications and Marketing Team!

ARK Core v2 is a major milestone in our development process. With it, comes an entirely new core, re-written from the ground up to be leaner, more efficient and contain a large number of new features that make deploying custom blockchains easier for developers all over the world. But we didn’t stop there. ARK Core v2 also comes with completely re-written SDK’s, a new version of our industry leading desktop wallet is in the making, and soon, the first graphical user interface enabled version of our push-button blockchain deployer.

With all of this excitement comes new tutorials, new questions, renewed interest from the community, and for our team, a major focus on partnerships and building out use cases for the technology. That is why we need your help!

For ARK to gain true adoption, our team of founders needs to focus their energy on evangelizing ARK and running the day to day operations required to make ARK a success. That means spending less time on Slack and more time getting out there and closing deals with major partners, more time developing our marketing plans, and more time building out the vision and roadmap that will take ARK to the next level. Let’s face it, who better to show what the platform is capable of than the group who founded it.

To help us transition into this next phase in our development cycle, we are looking to expand our Communications & Marketing Team. We have already hired one new Community Manager that will be announced shortly and we are looking to add one more new Community Manager to our full time staff.

Community Engagement Manager (1 Opening)

While we love spending time with the community and would not be where we are today without them, we know our limitations. Often times we cannot personally answer questions in a timely manner or we miss an opportunity to welcome a new community member and help guide them through getting started with ARK. It’s time we had professional, highly qualified, and dedicated community managers to help fulfill that role. The community is a major part of ARK and they deserve consistent and timely answers while having a dedicated conduit for bringing their voice to the team.

Position Overview:

The Community Engagement Manager position requires an open minded, self-motivated personality. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of positive communications, fluency in English, and an ability to consistently break down important details for the community in an easily digestible manner that is on message while relaying the progress being made towards our goals and the growth of ARK.

As a self-starter, the Community Engagement Manager is expected to have a pulse on the current climate within the ARK community at all times. Community Managers will be empowered to take the initiative to create new channels of communication as well as develop community focused events, interviews, AMAs, and other creative methods of communicating everything ARK related. This includes maintaining a presence on Slack, Reddit, Twitter, and other relevant platforms, as well as attending events when possible to help be an integral part of our communications team.

The ARK Community Engagement Manager will serve as a conduit between the ARK team and the community to help initiate and foster a strong focus on communication and partnership.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily interaction with the ARK community on Slack, Reddit, Twitter, and relevant platforms.
  • Greeting new community members and answering questions for newcomers.
  • Answering community questions across all platforms where possible.
  • Assisting in answering emails relayed to support/info @ark.io when capable.
  • Organizing community events such as interviews, AMAs, Q&As, etc.
  • Attending conferences and meetups on occasion to help represent ARK.
  • Creating new and innovative ways to interact with the community and developing a communications plan for community relations.

Salary & Compensation:

The Community Engagement Manager is a full-time, paid entry level position on the ARK team. Salaries will be negotiated on a case by case basis. Salaries are paid in BTC, ARK or a combination of both.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Confident and self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with ARK & our suite of products.
  • Background in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing a plus.
