Anryze welcomes new advisor Phil Chevry

The tech entrepreneur brings a wealth of experience to our cutting-edge blockchain speech-to-text project.

As a tech company operating at the absolute frontier of cryptocurrency development, Anryze relies on the expertise and experience of its small but talented team. With this in mind, we’re thrilled to be able to announce another high-calibre addition to our ranks: the Nash Agency’s Philippe Chevry, an entrepreneur with two decades of experience of creating and growing businesses in emerging technology areas including cybersecurity, finance and gaming.

Anryze’s distributed approach
There are a number of reasons why Philippe is the ideal choice to help guide us through some of the complexities of bringing our distributed speech recognition protocol to market. Core to Anryze’s business model is its peer-to-peer approach. At present, all major speech-to-text services operate on a centralised model, with large players such as Google and IBM taking the most significant share of the market. Businesses upload audio files to their servers, where they are processed using proprietary algorithms and returned as text. Since these businesses have large overheads, including staff and data centre costs, and because they have shareholders to please, speech recognition services tend to be expensive.

Anryze aims to change this with a fundamentally different approach. Instead of audio files being processed centrally, clients will upload them to a peer-to-peer network, with nodes running our custom-designed software. The first available node will process the file, and receive payment from the client in the form of the RYZ token, hosted on the Waves platform. Without shareholders, data centres, large workforces or premises, costs are driven down by as much as two thirds, whilst quality is just as high or better.

The ideal fit
Aside from having in-depth knowledge of a number of key sectors and technologies over the past 20 years, Philippe has been an active member of the cryptocurrency world since 2013. Based in Montreal, he is a director of the Blockchain Association of Canada, a capacity in which he works to build awareness within industry of the role that blockchain technology has to play. Philippe is also the co-founder of digital consultancy the Nash Agency, which connects experts from all walks of life to advance technological innovation and adoption.
