Fundamental Issues with Ticket Re-Sale
There are many fundamental issues with Ticket Re-Sale but the two most common one’s are — higher ticket prices due to transaction and processing fees and touting/counterfeit tickets.
Fans holding tickets for Ed Sheeran’s UK stadium tour purchased through secondary ticketing site Viagogo were denied access to the first night in accordance with previously publicized plans to crack down on touts and inflated resale prices.
Sheeran said: “It’s all being done properly, I’m not stitching people up.”
He insists it is the resale sites, that allow tickets to be sold at more than the face value, which will lose out.
Sheeran added: “The only people it is going to harm in the end is the touts.
“I hate the idea of people paying more than face value for tickets when you can get them at face value.
Most of all; Fans left with ‘invalid’ tickets in Ed Sheeran anti-tout scheme. Why have an anti tout scheme when you are remove the issue at the grass root.
