Tech Inspired.. The just concluded Tech Event hosted annually by Techpoint is a rich and inspiring featuring robotics,IoT, AI, blockchain,STEM and so much more.

Themed The Future Is now. Techpoint sure blew our minds with intriguing presentations and some questions that left everyone pondering I'll get to that in a bit.

Obinna Ukwuani of Makers Academy Africa gave a thrilling presentation on Robotics, what it was about, how IoT and Robotics are more alike citing an example of a "smart farm" by bowery farms... Do well to check them out :)

The Robots Are Coming!!

Scary right... We watched a thrilling video indicating how robots are taking jobs and chores away from humans. We shouldn't remain ignorant of the fact that robots are already doing everything we basically can.

But not to worry.. These robots or smart things or Artificial intelligence still need someone out there to "think" for them, to make them "creative". It is everyone of us.. let's get off our asses and embrace technology.

Moving On

We were left dazzled by FCMB's Divisional Head of Transaction Banking, Rolayo Akhigbe who gave four essentials for creating a sustainable business. your business;

Must be digital.
Must understand demographics (know who your products are for).
Must understand market trends.
Must understand how to run a business.

Talking about STEM, Cynthia Adaeze Chinule
Director, Maths AfriQue International asked a great questions for Africans and i quote "could it be that teaching people Tech in their native language helps improve them and the economy faster?" Citing China as an example.

Emeka Okoye, Senior Architect, Cymantiks talked on blockchain and cryptography. He talked about the future of cryptocurrency and how it would revolutionize Nigeria if the CBN would buy into the idea.

In all, it was a wonderful experience and I'm currently anticipating the next event. You should too :)
