Crypto Africa: The Rise of Blockchain FinTech Companies in Africa
Hello and warm welcome to today's edition of Crypto Africa.
Crypto Africa is the name I choose for my posts on blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption across Africa.
On today's edition, I talk about the growth of blockchain FinTech companies across Africa.
I had not made a post throughout today because I have been ill and only pushing myself to share this article. This is why I would not much or provide a much detailed review to say.
FinTech Companies are on the rise across Africa and are currently over 300 ( three hundred in existence) in number.
A vast majority of FinTechs (about 94) are located in South Africa while Nigeria is host to about 74 of them and 56 of them are located in Kenya. This represents the three (3) countries that are home to the highest number of FinTechs across Africa.
Blockchain FinTechs in Africa are mostly created to provide services such as payment/transfer services as well as lending/finance services.

The increase dependent on blockchain FinTechs by Africans is projected to reduce demands for banking services.
