Orvium - Business Analysis

Orvium is a decentralized platform for publishing of scientific contents. The platform is focused on improving the quality of the published contents by utilizing the blockchain in solving the present problems of inefficiency.

In this article, I will be performing a business analysis of the Orvium project. Business analysis is a way of analyzing the pros and cons of businesses and investments. I will, however, be making use of the SWOT Analysis business tool in this article.

SWOT Analysis

SWOT is an acronym for Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. SWOT Analysis is a business tool I will use to analyze the positive and negative factors of the Orvium platform.

Strength

Peer-To-Peer Community Reviews: Orvium is taking transparency further with the adoption of peer-to-peer review system for the reviews of scientific publications and research done by the scientific community.  This will ensure a much-needed oversight to the review process unlike previous systems in which all reviews are done without transparency and researchers are basically at the mercy of the publishing companies.

Advanced Technologies: The advanced technologies  like the blockchain, artificial intelligence and more, that are going to b adopted for this project is a major strength that orvium possess which will give it an advantage over the traditional system in place with smart contracts executing complex and fair commands with speed, accuracy and efficiency, and the AI technology giving the giving the platform an hybrid form by recognizing complex patterns in user behaviors and to making decisions based more complex data sets. 

High Quality and Timely Publications: The adoption of Orvium by the scientific publications industry will mean production of more high-quality publications and also at a faster rate as compared to the present state of things.

Weakness

I have been unable to uncover any real weakness that this platform has so far. because due to my research, I can say that the technology checks out, the team checks out, the problem it is created to solve is real, the solution introduced is achievable and the platforms token metrics is well priced for a project of this nature.

Opportunity

The most obvious opportunity for this platform is the billion dollars market in which it is going to disrupt, however, what makes Orvium more appealing is the fact that; this is a field that is already technologically inclined and using a new revolutionary technology to transform it will not only be accepted with positivity, but also boost the morale of researchers and scientists to do more for both science and technology, and the blockchain.

Investors and users will be in the middle of it all, with the opportunity to reap from the growth that comes with its adoption.

Threats

The major threat that Orvium faces will be in the form of the existing major players in the publications industry. Orvium is an open source network with a community of scientists, researchers publishers, and reviewers. This is a community of learned people who are going to be empowered and I am confident will only continue to grow with time.

Conclusion

Orvium is a platform that will provide a better and more effective working environment for the actors of the scholarly publications industry while also helping them attain better financial rewards for their work done. As for the investors, it is a great chance to be part of something great and revolutionary with the potentials to also reap great rewards.
