Cardstack - The Future For Decentralized Applications (dApps)

in #blockchain6 years ago

Why Do Most dApps Fail?

The blockchain is undoubtedly still in its infancy stage. The year 2017 saw an explosion in the rate of new decentralized solutions to different types real-life problems which led to the development of thousands of decentralized platforms and applications, that is thousands of practical solutions to real-life problems.

The reality of this is only a handful of dApps have been able to deliver the intended use case while also providing the required top-level user experience for their users. A lot of dApps failed to reach their goals and a lot of great platforms are crippled by the inadequacy of their dApps.

The Challenge For dApp Developers

The main challenge developers face in the development of decentralized applications is the ease of designing and creating an app, capable of not only the functions of the intended platform but an app also capable of interacting with the blockchain, participating in a reward pool while providing a great user experience.

A dApp that provides all the intended functionalities while ensuring a great user experience is very hard to build and its developers will require a lot of blockchain knowledge in order to deliver that ultimate dApp befitting of the decentralized platform.

Comparison With The Development Of Centralized Application's

The development of applications and software for the centralized platforms has been made relatively easy by the big digital companies by providing SDKs (Software Development Kits) for which developers with even basic software development knowledge can use to create an awesome application or software. There is a lot of SDK for centralized applications which are quite easy to use, with templates and with a user-friendly interface that provides the best experience for the application developers and subsequently the users. SDK comes in different forms, some are in form of a simple web page while others are in form of applications.

This level of ease and simplicity is currently absent on the blockchain and has derailed a lot of projects due to their inability to bring to life their ideas like they would with centralized an SDK.

Cardstack SDK

Cardstack is taking the initiative of creating an SDK for decentralized application developers; bridging the gap between an awesome idea and its reality, making it just as easy for developers with basic blockchain knowledge to create great dApps with all the required functionalities of a decentralized platform which includes the ability to participate in a reward pool to generate revenue and also communicate with the blockchain.

Cardstack SDK offers a lot more than the proprietary centralized SDKs. Centralized SDK are designed in a way such that SDKs with some specific attributes can only design applications for a certain digital platform e.g. for the development of an Android app on Java platform a Java Development Kit is required, for iOS apps the iOS SDK, and for Universal Windows Platform Its own specified .NET Framework SDK is required. Cardstack promotes decentralization further by breaking this trend and creating an SDK that creates dApps capable of communicating across different blockchains and interoperable with other cards and other hub components.

Features of Cardstack SDK

  • Basic template and framework
  • Easy to use
  • Blockchain Interaction
  • Cross-chain communication, integration and operability

Cardstack is a platform that brings to life the future of dApp development by providing an SDK that matches the proprietary SDK in the ability to provide a great experience for both the developers and the users. By adopting the cardstack platform thousands of decentralized platforms actors different blockchains can revamp their dApps giving their platforms the deserving user experience and operability.

Cardstack SDK will make dApp development quick, easy and productive creating an advantage for dApp developers and reducing the number of decentralized projects that fail due to poor dApp design, user interface, and operability.

Good to hear. 👍

Cardstack is indeed a hidden gem, I have read many wonderful articles about cardstack already and no way I am going to miss out on this one. you did a nice review about the project.

I am happy to hear that you like the write up, i believe you are best aware to take the appropriate action as regards the ICO.

Its a nice project.
Good thing i'm already whitelisted.

Wow, that makes the 2 of us. The demand for CARD is really high so i wish you the very best in the ICO, see you at the other side.
Cheers
