Today with the advent of technology many more devices are getting connected to the Internet through IoT (Internet of Things) sensors. With this reason the total number of Internet accessing devices could reach to 75 billion units by 2025. Thus, in near future humans life will be connected to the Internet in many ways.

Problems

Connecting huge number of devices to the Internet, from one side it is very beneficial but on other side it poses many dangers. Just imagine , the devices you regularly use are connected to Internet in one way it makes our life smarter and easier but at the same time it gives an opportunity for hackers to hack our personal information through these vast number of devices. If the hacker implants a virus into these devices, he can get access to our private life and confidential information.

Moreover, with these Internet connected devices, hackers can monitor our every activity. They can know where we are, what we like, what we do and our priorities, interests etc. Just take an example of IP address, with just IP address anyone can track our location, our device information, browser used to access the site etc. And if all other devices surrounding us are connected to Internet they will literally ruins our life.

The main aim of the HONEYPOD project is to provide solution to the above mentioned problems by securing our devices which are connected to the Internet.

With this it will control the entire flow of data from our router and it verifies and filters every application, files to remove malicious contents, it controls the display of annoying advertisements, and other spam contents which will affects us. Thus, Honeypod monitors our entire data network and by removing unwanted obstacles it increases out internet processing speed.

One of the best thing is that Honeypod device is very small that we can hold it in our palm and we can carry this intelligent smart device everywhere. It is worth to note that this device is undetectable and unhackable, which makes it more efficient. According to the Honeypod project developers this device acts like an authenticator and checks our every activity. Thus, it protects from tracking systems, blocks spam contents and third party malicious systems.
