Blockchain event in Jakarta Flood of Interest
The conference and exhibition event of the Indo 2018 Blockchain to be held in Jakarta, claimed by the organizers of the flood of enthusiasts. The event will be held on 11-12 May 2018 at Hotel Kempinski, Jakarta.
"We received a lot of interest from participants from technology companies, most of whom are Blockchain, Fintech and Digital Asset companies from all over the world, including Indonesia," said Nikolay Volosyankov, CEO of Cryptoevent, Friday
According to him, many prominent speakers from around the world who have confirmed his presence include Gebhard Scherrer (co-founder of DATUM), Ville Oehman (practitioner of investment funds registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore), Matthew J. Martin (CEO of Blossom Finance), Robert Ryu (Korean Venture crypto-fund) and Dr. Zaharuddin AR (ICO-based sharia Malaysia).
"For the first time in the conference we held, we have speakers and exhibitors associated with Islamic finance," Nikolay continued.
Cryptoevent has previously hosted similar conferences at St. Petersburg, Moscow (Russia), Minsk (Belarus) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) where thousands of participants have participated to pursue new issues and new technologies in Blockchain, Digital Asset and Fintech.
In addition to working with various international partners, CryptoEvent also partnered with local company Global Citra Media as a local event organizer.
CryptoEvent also partner with Halojasa as a local marketing partner as well as the Indonesian Digital Entrepreneur Association (ADEI) that allows global players in Blockchain technology to meet and interact with people from Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia.
Bari Arijono, founder and CEO of Digital Enterprise Indonesia, said that the digital revolution in Indonesia is only at an early stage. Many industrial sectors are beginning to launch digital transformation programs, not to mention the financial industry that is exploring collaboration with FinTech.
"The presence of Blockchain is still at an early stage in Indonesia which has the potential of a digital economy estimated to be worth 130 billion USD in 2020. Will Blockchain change the lifestyle of Indonesian people? If you look at what has been applied in other countries, the answer is very visible," said Bari .
Indonesia according to him is the third most populous country in Asia with high penetration of internet and smartphone. Recorded already there are 140 millions of internet users with 70 million of whom are smartphone users.
"The Indonesian government should be ready to make new regulations regarding the development of this digital technology, such as how digital currency in the future can respond to the increasingly heavy economic challenges" added Bari.
In addition to regular players in digital currency, this international event will bring players in the digital business, IT startup, internet application developers, digital marketeers, and Fintech-base companies to collect and expand their networks.
ICO and technology companies from around the world including those related to Islamic Finance such as Bayanat Fintech and Blossom Finance will present their blockchain project, but there will be no crypto currency trading during the event to comply with local regulations.
The conference will enable interested parties and stakeholders to gain more knowledge and information about the global market of digital assets as well as crypto currencies.
Regulatory and economic issues and impacts on the business environment will also be discussed in the forum. The conference will provide input to companies, industry players and regular attendees on how blockchain technology will revolutionize business and improve efficiency in the economy.
