A thoroughly thought out and well written post. –This one. I finally was able to help a friend register on steemit just some days ago. He proceeded to make posts in a hurry without heeding all the advise I gave him on growing his network by interacting and commenting on posts that interest him... Well, I guess a few failed trials sure would convince him. I used to neglect the power of commenting and interacting with others. And it made the whole experience so difficult and frustrating. But when I started doing that, everything became easy and fun.
This was really insightful and timely (and long too) 😉... Great lessons for those who'd care to read. Resteemed.

My advice to you is not to try and force anybody to follow your directive about Steemit.
They will feel you are trying to slow them down, just let them experience what Steemit is for themselves, that is when they know that they actually need to heed the advice of the people here before them.
I just hope that you friend realizes his mistake earlier.
