Do you sometime wonder whether people care about your writing?

By the time you finish this post, one or two Steemians who are able to click that blue " Post" button would have asked themselves " will anyone want to read this?"

Content creation on Steemit can be discouraging if you are not familiar with the nuances of blogging, if you take Steemit as Social Media Platform where you come to connect with people all over the World and don't really care about the Money then you may be contented with anything that you come by

However if you are one of those who see this Platform as a Blogging Platform, a place to earn some sort of living, then you will really concerned about the way people view your content

There are a lot of amazing Ideas jumbling through your head on what to blog about, and you are totally ready to pour out your heart onto that blank sheet or word document at a moment notice

But your are not sure whether anyone will want to read what you are about to write, you have something to share but you don't know how to package it and make it a must read for your followers

I come to you today with a Solution that has helped me countless number of times to create amazing content, and that is Story Telling

Story Telling is one of the most amazing Human Traditions that have been passed down for generation to generation, starting from the illustations made with blood on cave walls by our forebears to the latest hot gist trending right now On Twitter

We are hardwired with the urge to crave and appreciate drama, and Stories have the power to make us connect with others at a much deeper level

There is no limit to the kind of Content that can be brighten up with story telling, whether you are an Educational Blogger or you blog about Coding, from my observations tech bloggers on Steemit like @datageek and @paulag need to brighten up their content with stories

It may be hard for you to believe but you can use story telling for any blogging topic no matter how exclusive you think that topic is

Importance Of Story Telling In Content Creation

Creates Bond With Readers

No matter who you are or where you come from we all have one basic urge, the urge to be entertained, and when you can weave exciting and useful stories around what you blog about it creates a bond with your readers that make them continually pay attention to your content

The major key here is usefulness, in as much as your stories have to be entertaining they have to prove or cement a tip or thought, it can also give your readers something fun to associate that lesson with

You don't want them to get the story and miss the point you are trying to pass across

In the ancient times, when Rak told Raak ( cool cavemen names) of how his mammoth hunting friend froze to death because he got lost in an Ice Maze, the story was not just to make him see how he outlived his friend it was also to enlighten him of the danger of Hunting with out a Compass or group

When you tell a story your readers can connect to, it will make it easier for them to get the full message you are trying to pass across

Stories Makes your Post Entertaining

Like I said previously we all like to entertained and spicing up your content with interesting Stories will do wonders for your personal Brand, you will be educative and entertaining at the same time

When I talk to you about your character, and you start to tell me, “Well, she has to find the DONGLE OF MAGIC to fight the WIZARD OF BADNESS and then she tames HORBERT THE MANY-HEADED DRAGON,” I immediately start to cross my eyes. I emit drool. I have a small seizure and then fall into a torpid grief-coma. Grief over what you’ve done to the human condition

Chuck Wendig made a vivid point with this massively entertaining description above, spicing up lessons with stories will make your posts entertaining

Stories Help You keep Your Readers Attention

Someone who does this very well is @surpassinggoogle,most of his posts are usually long, sometimes more than 3000 words but I always read them because he spices them up with stories

When you Lead with Stories it helps you capture your readers attention and make them go along with you on the Journey to that last line because you provide them with happiness every line of the way

Holding your readers attention is very Important because that is when you can inspire them to take action, and that is the most Important thing of all, because it is when they take actions that they can really change and Improve, and then you can truly be happy and know that you are changing the World in your own way

Stories To Use

When choosing stories you can use to spice up your content, there are a lot of options available for you

You can use stories of things that happened to you, or of things you have experienced in Life

You can use stories you found on the Internet that perfectly captures the point you are trying to pass across

You can use stories of what happens in the Life of your readers as I did in the beginning of this post

There are tons of stories out there that you can use to spice up your writing and make your readers happy to consume your content, and when you do it consistently you will grow a devoted following over time that you will be proud of

Have there been anytime a Story made you connect well with a post more, or is there any story that have brought you amazing response as a Steemian or content creator?

Please Share the Story below in the Comment box, we will love to read it

In my career as a sales manager, we teach that facts tell and stories sell. In fact, when giving a sales presentation, and this applies to writing a blog post, you can answer every question with a third-party story.

Not only is it entertaining but it's more effective in conveying your point and more memorable. Our brains are hardwired to respond to stories. We automatically put ourselves in the picture being painted for us in the story, often coloring in the details with our imagination in a way that is personalized to us.

I worked in a resort once selling timeshare. They had a sister resort nearby with a dock full of yachts that for an extra $8,000 would be included in the package. Where I worked there was no dock and no yachts but we sold more yacht memberships than the resort that had the actual yachts that people could go on and experience firsthand.

How is that possible?

Because the stories we told about the yachts would spark people's imagination and they would fill in the balnks in their minds as opposed to those you actually boarded the yacht. What people imagined was more exciting than the real thing.

This is a very good post and I'll be linking to it in a future post for sure. Upvoted and resteemed! Steem on.

That is very true @luzcypher

Great story telling gives the reader or Listener the ability to work out the events in their Heads. Humans love to have control of things in their Life and telling a story opens a door to let the Imaginations of your readers run wide.

Seth Godins book All Marketers are Liars futher explains the power of story telling in Marketing.

Have you read it?

I am afraid I don't have a lot of stories. I just did my intro this week. However in my intro I told a sincere story of my life, my struggle as a amateur writer and my career. Like I said, I don't have that many stories but since you said we can share our story that had an 'amazing response'(This is relative) This is mine, I hope you love it. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@ucheosita/steemit-found-me-a-tale-of-fortune

There is need to break the monotony of text-only post so you don't come off as no fun or killjoy.

Another important article from the stables of @ogochukwu. Well done.

Thanks for reading and being Different

@ogochukwu

You welcome

You have very interesting posts

Every past tense turns to story, life is sparked up through what happened, what is happening, and what will happen, so once we can carry our audience in such memory lane then we attracts their attention.

I recognized the power of story telling early from my childhood which also helped in molding my personality in my line of interest.

One of the story book 📚 that shaped my life as a young lad was 'my book of bible stories ' by watchtowers.

It blends bible stories with so many visual communications that puts me in the mood as a young lad then which was also the reason why I became familiar with bible teachings.

Thanks @ogochukwu
