There may be a lot of reasons why you want to take a break from your blogging activities.

It may be because you are going for a vacation, or taking the family on a trip, or even because you have an Important upcoming examination if you are a student like me.

Taking a break is perfectly okay, Afterall you are Human, you need to take out the time to recharge yourself, you need to spend more Fun times with your Family.

But since owning a Steemit Blog is like owning a Business, you have to keep things going somehow

Losing your blogging Momentum is not something you would want to happen if you take a complete break then the things you are working actually stops and loses momentum.

It also means that you would have to do some catching up when you get back

So most of the things I would be sharing in this post is how to keep things going while you are away

Work Real Hard Before Leaving

Now this is the simplest thing you know you should.

This simply entails creating more content than usual so you have a log of created content ready for publishing on the go.

And if you create enough, you wouldn't have to create a new post the week you come back from your vacation, as you would not really be in sync with what is going on at the moment you get back.

A downside of creating content for future posting is that you always have to keep an eye on the news, so if something big happens in your Niche while you are away then you have to tell you readers about it.

For example, if you blog about Crypto-currency and the price of Bitcoin soars to $5000 while you are away, your readers would see you as someone who is not current if your posts fail to reflect that.

Post scheduling can be a bit risky on that front so you would want to keep an eye on the news while you are away.

Revive Old Posts

Another thing you can do while away is to revive old posts.

You can bring to the attention of your readers some of your old posts which can be resourceful to them.

If you are someone who uses personalised links like I recommended in my last postthen you would not have a problem retrieving those posts.

It can be as easy as creating a post with multiple links to various posts based on categories.

@shayne is someone who knows how to do this well.

The advantage of this is that it drives traffic back to your older post and if they are awesome, it cements your Authority as someone of value.

Blog From the Road

Now, this sounds like something I would do.

So you can enjoy Family time and the beach during the day, then kick back and work on your blog at night when everyone is asleep.

This enables you maintain absolute control, and also makes sure your content is coming to your readers as relevant as it can be. So if there is breaking news in your industry, you can moderate comments and give your readers feedback.

At times like this you can even go out and find content you know would be of great value to your readers and create a post about It.

You can list the different curated post and ask them what their biggest takeaway from It was, if done right it can help you get a discussion going and everybody wins.

You can take it to the next level and embed a video into the post, as far it is informative, people would not mind wathching.

Following the steps will go a long way in ensuring that you Blog activity does not decline while you are away.

So what other methods do you use to Blog while you are away?, or is there something you do that is different from what i listed above.

This was needed! A lot of us get overwhelmed by the thought of maintaining a blog daily not realizing it's not that difficult when you pace yourself and work in bursts.

Very True @opinizeunltd

This is great for someone who has off days or when I go on vacation and do not have time to focus on posts/blogs! Good ideas!

Work real hard before leaving and revive some old stuff is the combo that seems to work the best, but it's always hard to keep the momentum going nonetheless.

Planning in advance really helps in periods when you begin to feel a drop in Momentum.

@rocking-dave

Yep, that's true. It's always hard when you are a one-man operation, but the freedom and flexibility is always worth it. Work doubly hard for a week, then relax on the beach surrounded by nature for a week too.

This advice is also useful if you get injured. Linking back to previous posts is a great one!

Good one... upvoted!
