Black cats- against superstition and prejudice!
Steemians that follow my blog know that I have 3 black cats that I very much love.
Unfortunatly many people still believe in superstitions or simply does not feel comfortable around a black cat.
I am like those old ladies always showing people their grandchildren's photos but instead of kids I show my cats. Some people sound relieved when they find out Betty has got a white stripe.
Betty
Most people grow up watching movies, reading books and hearing stories that picture black cats as a symbol of evilness and bad luck. I believe that is why unconsciently people fear or don't like them. I know I am always saying Betty is evil but it has nothing to do with her color. I have met cats of other colors that were worse than her. Cats are like people they all have different personalities and different life contexts.

Black cats have been found to have lower odds of adoption in shelters compared to other colors.

STOPIt's sad that even in animals, there's a discrimination. Here in my country some people believe that seeing a black cat means bad luck. I don't know where these guys get that crazy idea. For me, animals are the most loving living thing you could ever have in this world full of judgemental eyes.
Truthful words! It's a really sad thing happening around the world. Unfortunately, hatred, discrimination and prejudice are still a reality. With all the information and knowledge people still have medival beliefs.
