After over a year of battle royale domination from Fortnite, Activision are stepping up to bat. They've taken their sweet time with the details too, first announcing Blackout back in March alongside the main zombies n' multiplayer of Black Ops 4 , but negating to reveal how many players would be supported .

Here are the tips and tricks about the game Black ops 4:

//Use Iron Lung To Hide Underwater--

Perfect for evading fire and swimming around to get the drop on your attacker, using Iron Lung also means you can wait out huge chunks of the round, taking out anyone entering the water, or firing through the surface to catch those on the waterline.

//Drop Weapons & Attachments To Create A Trap--

While you don't want to discard anything useful, as the round thunders on, one of the most effective tactics is dropping a couple of firearms and attachments in one place to entice another player in. Pick somewhere that looks as though the game could've spawned the items in said place, then find a hiding spot and you just might score an ambush kill.

//Specific Weapons DO Drop In Specific Places--

For sniper rifles, you'll tend to find them at the top of towers, be they in Construction Site, the Cargo Docks area or even atop farmyard silos across the centre of the map. Likewise, med packs appear to spawn more frequently in medicinally "themed" areas like clinics and bathrooms, or the offices inside the Hydro Dam, Asylum or Turbine facilities.

Supremely useful for closing the distance on attackers (or fleeing to safety), the hook can get you onto a rooftop in seconds - not to mention letting you chain shots together, hopping between multiple surfaces to get the drop on your opponent(s).

Speaking of fun ways to kill or win the round, the Blackout map is peppered with locations from COD's zombified history. Not only are they packed full of zombie hordes that will devour other players, but defeating a location's horde will spawn a "Mystery Box" that contains a bonus Zombies weapon.

//Elevation & The Importance Of Location--

Analyse rooms and locations based on potential entranceways, then plan where to hide and you'll be racking up kills in no time.

//Go Prone To Dodge Bullets & Retaliate--

Doubly useful from a distance if you're in a field or surrounded by shrubbery, you'll look to disappear from your opponent's perspective altogether. Being COD's gunsights take up a HUGE portion of the screen, it's very easy to go prone and completely baffle your enemy at the same time.

//Radial Audio Is Your Best Friend--

Footsteps can be heard from far away depending on where you're hiding out, and that's without mentioning perks like Awareness or Dead Silence, letting you respectively hear footsteps far louder or mask them altogether.

// Use Split-Screen To Set Up An Ambush--

By literally monitoring each other's screens, you can canvas more of the map at once. Placing one of your guys in a specific spot while the other provides cover means you'll nearly always get the drop on any other players out in the field - and that's before you shake up a standard combat encounter by having someone watching your back.
