Bittrex : A Necessary Evil for Alt-coin Trading!

Bittrex. Cryptocurrency and blockchain proponents have all heard the name, typically in a less-than-positive manner. Critics are right that other, more stable and reliable cryptocurrency platforms exist. Nevertheless, if you want to engage in robust altcoin trading, Bittrex is unfortunately a necessary evil.

Among blockchain alternatives, Bittrex, in my humble opinion, stands alone. For instance, if you want to engage in alt-coin trading in Poloniex, I say, good luck! Poloniex runs you through hoops, many of them personally invasive. I'm not here to give blood to trade blockchain assets; I just want a quick and easy way to do it.

While the Bittrex exchange is hardly intuitive, and not very "easy" for newcomers, those who are familiar with trading and investing terminologies and concepts should find it relatively unproblematic to use. Furthermore, it's very quick -- if you know what you're doing.

However, Bittrex is a work in progress, and sometimes, comically so. Many people have complained that they cannot verify their identification, and as a result, Bittrex won't allow them to withdraw alt-coin assets. Naturally, this has led to heated claims that Bittrex is a fraud.

I don't want to go that far: if Bittrex was a fraud, alt-coin markets, such as the Steemit network, would have completely nosedived. Rather, Bittrex is a platform experiencing growing pains -- some of them situational pains, others self-induced.

It's not a perfect system, nor do I expect it to be. But if you want a less intrusive way (relatively and comparatively speaking) to dive into the world of alt-coin trading, Bittrex is your best choice. And for many people, Bittrex is the only choice.

Yeah. It sucks. Deal with it.
