Crypto News: Holyfield Backs AriseBank In Bitshares Philanthropy!

in #bitshares7 years ago (edited)

I spend my days researching cryptocurrencies, robots and gene editing techniques and I have no regrets admitting it. While having a stroll through today's online news and hoopla I came across an article I thought my readers may find interesting.

Apparently AriseBank (an entity which I've recently written a seperate post on about a week or so ago) has made a very clever and unusual partnership by sponsoring a boxing legend, yes folks the guy I'm talking about is Evander Holyfield!

I remember a while back some cryptocurrency outfit making a deal with Dennis Rodman and I also remember there was a buzz going around about that and something to do with China...

In my mind this is a much larger partnership considering that Holyfield has name recognition across the world far and wide due to the fact that professional boxing is one of the most popular and televised sports in the world.

So lets get into the details of this new partnership shall we?

Holyfield is teaming up with AriseBank, the first decentralized cryptocurrency bank and blockchain development company Cryptonomex, to raise money for disaster preparedness. Using BitShares, one of the most advanced blockchain platforms in the world, they will accelerate the slow process of recovery in future disasters like the recent hurricane and wildfire storms.

So we have a relationship here between Holyfield, AriseBank, Bitshares and Cryptonomex. So what does that mean? Well, for starters it might be a good time to load Bitshares (BTS) but beyond that we are looking at history being made as AriseBank (the first cryptocurrency bank) has made history by becoming the first cryptocurrency related company to bring on a major celebrity through sponsorship!

But what is the major motivation for Holyfield to partner up with AriseBank?

In 2017, super-storms devastated Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, California and dozens of other communities in the Caribbean and the Gulf States. These disasters have left millions without the help they need.

The money required to restore the Houston Florida, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other areas, can’t be raised fast enough if you’re homeless or forced to live with relatives because your family's house was one of the one million homes destroyed. Holyfield wants to help raise the funds needed through his charity endowment to help these people recover from these type of disasters in the future.

Clearly Holyfield has found cryptocurrency to be a possible solution towards getting Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands back on their feet and it sounds like good logic to me!

This is not your usual celebrity endorsement. This is a long-lasting strategic partnership. The world sees “digital currency” as a unique solution to the biggest challenges presented by these national tragedies.

Holyfield plans on using cryptocurrency to fund humanitarian disaster preparedness. Together we will raise a million dollars for disaster-related causes and then grow it to a billion-dollar endowment using the Bitshares Endowment model created by the Billion Hero Campaign. Holyfield’s endowment, as well as the original Billion Hero Endowment are hosted on BillionHeroCampaign.com.

I've been waiting to see cryptocurrency used as a tool to do good in regard to humanitarian efforts and it appears that is what we are potentially looking at here. The fact is that even though AriseBank is new through its relationship with Bitshares I would say that their combined force allows them to do quite a bit of good in terms of aid and assistance so why not charge ahead and be the first to focus on these efforts guys!

When asked about this new partnership, Evander Holyfield responded, "I am really excited about this. The more I can do, the better. Cryptocurrency seems to be a good way to help the causes that I care about."

As you probably know Bitshares was created by a man named Mr. Dan Larimer. He also developed another famous blockchain which I expect you may have heard of called Steem. In fact, I'm writing this article with intentions to publish it on Steem using the Steemit social media platform that sits on top of it!

One thing is certain, this Holyfield partnership is good news and if the goal is to help regions devastated by storms and get people back on their feet, I'm all for it!

What do you guys think about this news? Will we be seeing more celebrity sponsorships and charity work involving cryptocurrency in coming months?

I believe the partnership is very strategic and that we will see many of its kind in the near future. Thanks for the update, @techblogger.

I want to learn more, please continue.

Great move for Bitshares and cryptocurrencies. I remember your post about Arisebank and I have been waiting to hear more news about it.

I believe the partnership between Bitshares and AriseBank is a significant more in that it has the potential to bring crytocurrencies to the masses. Endorsements by the right types of well-known trusted figures could expedite the process. It is very exciting to see this development in the market. Hopefully, it will serve as the impetus to propel other financial institutions and open blockchain projects to follow suit. Appreciate the post, thanks.
