I am actually hoarding some bitshares and I totally agree with you.
I think BTS lacked a little promotion in reaching out the vast majority who know nothing about crypto. In fact, the only way I was able to know BTS was when I decided to trade it on Bittrex.
Same story I stumble in Bitshares when I was trading on Bittrex,
