The BitShares Network is a Decentralized Exchange with a Stakeholder-Approved Project Funding system.

It runs on a Delegated Proof-of-Stake Consensus, like many other modern block-chain systems currently running.

BitShares is your one in all wallet and exchange, and the BitShares UI is built to enhance the user experience in a stand-alone application and web-interface.

How to use the BitShares Exchange Platform

• Download from GitHub Releases for all platforms.
• Online at BitShares Reference Wallet, no download required.

1st of April Release

The development team releases two new updates every month. As usual, there are many features and improvements to the app; this is just a few of all the many changes done.

• Access Node UI Improvements
  The UI for accessing nodes have improved significantly with a handy toggle for making new users automatically chose the closest node. The list of available nodes is now also easier to navigate on smaller devices, such as smart-phones.

• Voting for workers
  There have been many new works the past weeks, which made the tally go over 100 items. The code wasn't handling this and resulted in that part of the latest workers where not visible, which now works as expected.

• Incognito Mode
  Users that use the wallet in incognito mode will have more prominent warnings displayed that they are required to back up their wallet before closing their session.
  

• Account Selector Improvements
  The section that handles account selection was improved to make use of it in more places of the app, and improve overall performance and UI. Possible scammers that the developers have added to a known list will now be visible much more prominent.
  

• Preparations for QR Scanner
  The latest bundle contains work for beginning work on using the camera on devices for QR Codes. The QR Scanner will make it easier to, for example, initiate a transfer.

• Reduced Bundle Size
  As all of these improvements weren't enough, the whole bundle size was reduced by approximately 30%!

• Borrow Modal
  The borrow modal has improved with many handy toggles for paying maximum debt, use maximum allowed debt and use max collateral. Handy for all our borrowers.
  

Other Improvements

• Better error page handling
• Updated fee schedule to include a few new fees
• Improved sorting of committee members
• Improved order expiration UI on markets
• Improved exchange handling with cloud wallet accounts
• Wallet Lock/Unlock Tweaks

Improved Languages

• Japanese was heavily improved the last few builds by one of our great contributors in conjunction with the developers to find places that were having translation issues.

Note that issues with transferring assets to and from your wallet though a gateway or bridge should be send to the responsible operator, like OpenLedger, GDEX, RuDEX, WINEX or BlockTrades to name a few
