Please vote for more liquid and deep markets in BitShares - DEXBot
We make market making software for everyone - free to use and modify. Ease of Use is a priority. Once we provide a "few-click" solution, many many more users will be providing liquidity in many more markets. You can probably envision the benefits and the several good side-effects.
Making the software incredibly user-friendly will likely cost the community $50k - $100k. So it will dilute your stake by some 0.007%. The upside is that the BitShares markets will become substantially more liquid and attractive. Who knows what snowball effect it could start. No-one knows where the tipping point is, but we must work towards it. I believe it can be safely said that the benefits will exceed 0.007% in any case.
Some possible side-effects:
- More people are attracted to the DEX from other exchanges, increasing trading and voting activities
- More users will buy LTM's
- Markets will look better
- Holders of other coins will have an incentive to hold them in BitShares
- Operating a bot is exciting
- Market making can be profitable. While no-one can guarantee profits, many of us have been making markets profitably.
If putting your money to work in the DEX can help you accumulate more of any coin, why not put them all to work? In BitShares! This is what I do, and I believe many others will feel the same. And there will be an easy way to do it. The effect could be the same as that of DASH Masternodes or PoS "Staking", where you earn interest for committing your stake to the system. It could create a positive feedback loop for BitShares. While we do not promote the Worker Proposal using this scenario, I want to let it out. I really believe this will happen - and why not try?
Although no proposal can satisfy all possible needs and opinions, this WP should benefit all users either directly or indirectly. We will try to include as much community input as possible. Please help us push this WP through.

Voted.... its the holly grail for small holders like me that didnt have access to bots for years... after 100 000 manual trades I will finally sleep better.
