It seems bitUSD always, almost always, trades a bit higher than 1 fiat dollar. Because the peg is inherently slightly imprecise (but always close) it's really only useful as a savings capsule. But I'll give you a real dollar for a bitUSD any day of the week!
Yes it does. And it does that for a well-known reasons (i.e. settlement at parity) ... The premium depends on the liquidity and price movements and is supposed to go down if liquidity grows. It also means that if you want to buy BTS, you should go via bitAssets because BTS are cheaper that way :)
