RE: BitShares Tips and SBD Tricks You've Gotta Know! (update and part2)

in #bitshares7 years ago

@blocktrades is as expensive or sometimes more than old style brick & mortar banks. I just had a difference relative to market prices of almost 10%. I hope there will be more competition, more bridges / gateways. Such huge margins are disappointing.

yeah, sometimes the rates can be very high, definitely double-check them and do the math before going through with it. also, if you can catch it at a time when SBD is spiking, for example, you can get even better rates. the thing is, unfortunately, if you've gotta move your money out, even 90% is better than have 100% stay indefinitely in a state of limbo. the other (centralized) way people seem to be "comfortable" doing it is to go STEEM/SBD -> bittrex -> eth/ltc/btc -> coinbase, which of course comes with it's own set of risks, issues and various associated fees as well.

just came across some additional links about relatively recent issues withdrawing funds from bittrex, "Traders on a $1 billion cryptocurrency exchange say they can't withdraw money and are left in the dark about why", as well as the following reddit thread: "Bittrex has stolen my money".

how do you calculate de bloktrade fee?
becouse the note is 0.008sdb for transactions not?

i think it is cheap... i am worng

the blocktrades fee (which also applies to other exchangers as well) is built into the exchange rate

thanksss ..

i think block trades is not expensive !!!

and one more thing I forgot to mention, once you get past all that and find a way to get your funds into fiat to your bank account, make sure that your bank isn't currently targeting people transferring money between crypto exchanges...
