FOOLs' Party and ScamCoin, Shmeddit, SHMITS and GIGGLS -- Seriously?

Daily Post # 25 in a 50 part series leading up to 4/1/17

Not really, but kind of.

We're hoping that those of you who have gotten to know @brindleswan through his participation in the #beyondbitcoin Friday Mumble Sessions, assign a high probability to him being serious about wanting to bring about a world with way less aggression, though perhaps misguided as to tactics. In this post, we will defend one of those tactics -- using silly memes and branding to appear non-threatening.

@dantheman (Steemit co-founder Dan Larimer) wrote about the goals we share and dangers we face in this excellent and thought provoking post:

Here is the part relevant to this discussion:

"My mission is a dangerous mission. If I am successful I will  make enemies in the highest places of violent power. My very life is at  risk the moment I discover any solution that is perceived as a real  threat.

Changing the world is a mission that is bigger than any one person.  It requires building a new social structure that binds all of society together in a non-violent way.  It requires persuading a sufficiently large minority to organize an effective non-violent resistance to government violence.  In short, it requires convincing people to take on some of the same risks I face.

If I am to be successful in convincing others to take these risks, then I must face my own demons and conquer my own fears.  I must find and articulate an argument that is powerful enough to bring millions of  people into a movement."

Our rationale for using the silly/easy to ridicule branding, is that a direct attempt to create an exponentially growing Falkvingian Swarm/Mutual Aid Society of a blatantly anarchist nature, would meet with serious infiltration and resistance. Now that even alternative media has taken to calling the paid anti-Trump provocateurs as "anarchists" the term seems beyond redemption. But even "voluntaryist" and "libertarian" may be too political, in this current climate, to gain any traction with those burned out from direct confrontation with statist trolls.

Who will be afraid of the FOOLs' Party with their silly website Shmeddit.com and their ridiculous ScamCoin? The Pirate Party is not quite as silly, but we want to get much bigger much quicker, so therefore: a witch!

If you review this series, you'll see that each of these ideas has serious, even revolutionary benefits to the people who get involved. And they won't be humorless tight asses afraid of a little ridicule!

We will still be infiltrated by paid and brainwashed psychopaths and sociopaths, and we have other techniques up our sleeves for dealing with them. But we'll take whatever head start we can get by using the silly branding defense.
