Those of you that are pros at this may think this is silly to make 2 different videos. From one of those newbies to this world, let me big to differ. It took me awhile to realize there are 2 currencies here. Once you starting getting "it" it becomes easier, but until we all get it, I am hoping to help those get up to par step by step as I do. Yes. You need to know what the price of the SBD was when you earned it, and when you traded it. Then the same with the Bitshares. An impossible task IMO. The alernative I see everyone talking about is using VPN. Hope your mom is doing better. It wasn't easy when mine pasted way.

i wish trading coin to coin was not taxable but it is taxable now. what a headache those law makers gave us as a new year 'gift'.

as far as i have read so far as long as its a 'like-kind' exchange or transfer it won't be taxed, ie. bitcoin wallet to bitcoin wallet, but when it trades to a different coin and has gain its taxable, i dont know if theres an alternative, but instead of trading and sitting on a coin i plan on letting what i mine grow and then putting the results back into cloud mining so it has more power until its mining power is significant enough and then instead of trading for a different coin, simply put it on that specific coins visa card via a service called ubiq(? i guess, i need to research more been a while). (but its like a bitpay visa but for xmr is the gist of it. ) most of what i figured out with the above plan i made was guess work on my own without any other person or FAQ. hope it works out for me. still unsure about what to do with my steem + SBD after jan 1st, but i want to learn more about bitshares for sure now after reading these comments and this info up above.
I've been cashing out my SBD's only into Bitshares for a month now...cause, hey, free Bitshares is a good thing. I should have posted about this myself before. They are like the Energizer bunny, they keep growing and growing...
Same here. 2018 is gong to be a good year for BitShares. Hopefully Connie does another podcast with Stan to share some more ground breaking news. Buy and hodl!!
This was a great vid connie, I'm sure there are tons of blocktrades tutorials on YT but this is exactly what I wanted to know about and you covered it very well.
I never looked into the blocktrades aspect of this site even after seeing it all over and seeing a lot of big users sending payments to it all the time. Such an easy way to use some extra SBD to convert to other cryptos.
