What And Why Bitshares Should Be Your Preferred Crypto Coin As An Asset?
To most of my readers who are already Steemit members, you may already know that Bitshares and Steem are both created by Dan Larimer. It should be a no brainer to try and check what Bitshares can do having a direct experience of what a platform created by Dan Larimer is like. Both Bitshares and Steem are based on Graphene technology. With its more recent development, Dan Larimer is also now directly involve with the EOS token which will be using another more developed technology.

Now On To Bitshares.
Enough about Dan Larimer, the reason why I blog this post is because I saw in my Twitter timeline updates about Bitshares. I can see that there are a lot of activities going on inside Bitshares. In one of their official update it was confirmed that Bitshares now holds the record of most blockchain transactions in a day even more than Bitcoin and Etherium combined.
As I said earlier both Steem and Bitshares are created using the Graphene Technology but while Steem is made for social media, Bitshares is made to be a decentralized bank and exchange. And seeing the discontent of many trading exchanges users nowadays, we can safely say that Bitshares is just waiting to explode in value . After all, why do blockchain coins are being traded to a centralized platform? It defeats the purpose of creating an environment of a trustless transaction and a decentralized governance.
So you can use Bitshares as a decentralized exchanger and Bitshares today holds the fastest transaction time for a block chain at 3 seconds block time. And Bitshares DEX doesn't live in one place try openledger.io http://rudex.org http://bitshares.org http://bit.btsabc.org . Hundreds of ICO's exist with empty promises with nothing to show. Bitshares have shown a lot of value being constantly rebuilt for the last three years.
So What is Bitshares?
Bitshares can best be described by the creator himself that we can see in one of his early blog post What is Bitshares? . Here he described Bitshares as a software, as a network, as a ledger, as a company, as an exchange, as a bank, as a currency, as a community, as a country and as an idea. A lot happened since but this still holds the essence of what is Bitshares all about.
Why Bitshares?
There are plenty of reasons but let me just mention the top five.
- Bitshares is decentralized and transparent. You have lower risk for a platform to close or stop existing. If you hold currencies inside like bts token such as bitusd or bitgold, you are safe much like having Steem dollars.
- Transactions and trade fees are much lower than what traditional exchanges are charging today.
- Transactions are safe and extremely fast. Confirmation can happen in less than 3 seconds and scalable up to 100,000 transactions per second.
- Potential for growth is extremely high. The benefits and advantages are real. The value can equal or surpass to what Bitcoin is today. But as I checked today it is only priced at $0.202 with market cap of $506M. Imagine if you buy today and not many years from now it grows to what is Bitcoin today at about $2500 with market cap of $40B.
- Platform has the cutting edge technology and is being constantly developed since the last three years. It can only be better in the years to come.

The No.1 reason to invest in Bitshares is that it is a profitable autonomous organization with a growing $200M reserve fund that is used for maintenance and upgrades.
Bitshares collects fees from every transaction and moves them to the reserve fund automatically. Users then vote on how to use the reserve funds to improve the platform. Bitshares is literally the worlds first unmanned company.

Exactly....however, most people are just focused on Bitcoin, Etherium, Ripple, etc... but the same or bigger potential for profits are with coins like Bitshares.
Bitshares is involved in several of the new ventures like Hero. I too think there is huge potential for growth. Great post.

It often happens that really decent things do not have the proper popularity. Approximately the same thing is happening now with Bitshares. What, in your opinion, can be exactly the impetus that makes Bitshares very popular? Probably, need more aggressive advertising from the developers, a big campaign in the media? Thank you!
It is actually to our advantage that this coin is not that popular yet even though it has all the solid features when compared to other popular coins.
When you have invested when it is yet priced at only few cents and goes up later on then you reap all the rewards...

It's now near the top of my list for trying out. I especially like how much emphasis is put on the need to be decentralized. I see a big problem with centralized exchanges and I'm not sure why so many of the people in crypto-currencies are okay with keeping their money on exchanges.
Yes a decentralized exchange is where it is all heading... most traders are just stuck with no choice except for Polo or Bittrex. Now Bitshares are gaining ground and will soon disrupt the trading exchanges industry.
